Most of Madison Air Solutions Corporation’s revenue comes from commercial customers that need to control air quality, humidity or heat in facilities such as data centers, factories and hospitals. Through brands including Nortek and Big Ass Fans, it sells engineered equipment tailored to these environments, rather than mainly standard heating and air-conditioning systems. Its teams work with operators and design engineers, selling directly or through sales representatives and distributors.
The residential business sells products that clean air, provide ventilation and control humidity through AprilAire, Broan-NuTone and Zephyr. Wholesale distributors supply contractors and dealers that install these products in homes; retailers and other channels also generate sales. Replacement and upgrades drive much of this business. Across the company, equipment already in use creates further demand for replacements, upgrades, parts and services.
Demand depends partly on North American home improvement and construction activity, while data-center cooling orders depend on AI and cloud infrastructure investment. One customer supplies a significant minority of revenue, mostly in Commercial, and independent distribution partners carry a substantial share of product sales. Refrigerant rules can require product changes, particularly in dehumidification. Tax-related agreements restrict certain acquisitions, asset sales and equity issuances following the organizational transactions, while debt covenants also limit financing and acquisitions.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Madison Air’s results hinge on specialized air-system replacement and upgrades and data-center cooling investment; watch AAON in air handling and Munters in data-center cooling as additional rivals outside this list.
Vertiv competes with Madison Air’s Nortek business to sell air and liquid cooling systems to data centers expanding computing capacity, exposing both to their cooling investment. Watch Vertiv’s data-center cooling business: that market drove more than half of Madison Air’s Commercial organic growth in 2025.
Trane Technologies competes with Madison Air to sell commercial air-handling systems to building owners and contractors, but its traditional heating and cooling business is much broader. Its commercial air-handling results are the closer comparison for Madison Air’s custom and semi-custom systems, rather than Trane’s overall heating, cooling and refrigeration revenue.
Resideo Technologies, Inc. competes with Madison Air’s AprilAire portfolio for home healthy-air product sales through professional installers, selling air solutions and controls where AprilAire offers purification, ventilation and humidity control. Watch Resideo’s residential air products and professional-channel news for clues to the replacement, upgrade and new-construction demand served by Madison Air’s distributors and dealers.
Housing Starts (Sep)
Madison Air sells residential air-quality products, and readings on new-home construction track building activity that can bring orders for those products.

If it comes in above expectations
If the reading is above the 1.31M estimate, it is above the previous 1.275M. More homebuilding than expected can mean more demand for Madison Air’s residential products in new construction, supporting sales through its distribution, retail and other channels.
If it comes in below expectations
Less homebuilding than expected can mean fewer new-construction orders for Madison Air’s residential products, weighing on sales through its distribution, retail and other channels.
Vertiv Holdings Co earningsVRT
Vertiv’s report will show whether data-center customers are still investing in cooling systems, the market Madison Air’s Nortek business competes in.
Focus on demand or orders in Vertiv’s data-center cooling business, not its overall results as a proxy for the cooling market. Strong demand would indicate that customers expanding computing capacity are still investing in cooling, supporting an important growth market for Madison Air’s Commercial segment. Weaker demand would suggest that investment may be slowing, weakening support for Madison Air’s data-center cooling products.
Madison Air Solutions Corporation earningsThis company
Madison Air’s report will show whether sales of its commercial and residential products are growing from underlying demand, rather than acquisitions, and whether that growth is reaching profit.
Compare organic sales growth in Commercial and Residential with each segment’s adjusted EBITDA margin; EBITDA is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. Sustained organic growth with stable or rising margins would show that demand and pricing gains are staying in the business. Slower organic growth or falling margins would show that sales are not translating into comparable operating profit.
Trane Technologies plc earningsTT
Trane Technologies’ commercial air-handling business will show how building owners and contractors are buying these systems, which Madison Air also sells to them.
Look at Trane Technologies’ commercial air-handling systems, not its broader heating, cooling and refrigeration businesses. Steady or stronger demand there would indicate that building owners and contractors are still buying these systems, a positive signal for demand for Madison Air’s custom and semi-custom air handlers. Weaker demand would suggest that these shared buyers may be pulling back.
