Locafy helps small businesses in the United States, Australia and Canada appear in online searches for nearby products and services. Its main offering, Localizer, combines AI Pages, Map Pack Booster and Listings to create search-optimized pages, improve visibility in Google’s local map results and distribute business listings. Subscriptions supply most revenue, usually through fixed monthly fees. Locafy sells directly and through sales partners; it has shifted from resellers toward a Partner program in which it generally bills businesses itself and pays the referring partner from collections.
Locafy also owns business directories, including Hotfrog, AussieWeb and PinkPages. Businesses can list for free, while companies that manage listings for clients pay to publish profiles through software connections. Google Ads placed on directory pages provide a smaller advertising income stream that depends on website traffic and Google’s advertising program.
Recurring income depends on customers renewing subscriptions, which they are not obliged to do, and on the technology continuing to deliver useful search visibility. Cloudflare hosts the platform, making service availability dependent on that provider. Privacy rules also limit how Locafy may use and transfer the personal data it handles.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Alphabet’s Google competes with Locafy for businesses seeking customer leads by selling search ads, while also controlling the search results Locafy charges small businesses to rank better in organically. Watch changes to Google’s local map results, where Locafy’s Map Pack Booster aims to improve visibility.
Nextdoor Holdings, Inc. competes for the local-business customer-acquisition budgets that fund Locafy’s local-search subscriptions: it sells ads targeted to neighborhoods rather than better visibility in search results. Its ad performance for small local businesses is the point to watch when judging that competing offer.
KNOREX LTD. sells tools for buying and managing paid digital ads to smaller advertising agencies, overlapping with the agencies Locafy targets for subscriptions that improve unpaid search visibility. Watch KNOREX’s small and mid-sized agency customer base—the customer group where their sales efforts overlap.

Alphabet's report can show whether businesses are still paying to reach customers through Google Search, the channel Locafy sells visibility on and relies on to draw visitors to its directories.
Look at Google's search-ad performance and any discussion of changes to AI or local search. Strong ads and search remaining an important route to customers would support the value of the channel behind Locafy's visibility subscriptions and Google Ads-funded directory traffic. Weakness, or AI changing how people find businesses, would put those revenue paths under pressure. Alphabet's report cannot establish Locafy's own rankings or traffic; it shows how supportive the search channel may be for Locafy.

Nextdoor's report can show whether local businesses are still paying for neighborhood-targeted ads, an alternative competing with Locafy's local-search subscriptions for customer-acquisition budgets.
Look for Nextdoor's disclosure about advertising by local businesses; overall ad results are only a broad signal if the company does not break that out. Strong local-ad performance would show that businesses are still spending on neighborhood ads, a competing way to find customers that may make Locafy's subscriptions harder to sell or retain. Weakness would soften that competitive signal, but would not show that spending moved to Locafy. The conclusion is how strong this alternative is as a rival for Locafy's customer-acquisition budgets.
