Kaltura helps organizations create, manage and deliver live and on-demand video to customers, employees and learners. Most revenue comes from enterprise, education and technology customers using its software for purposes such as learning, webinars and virtual events. It also sells cloud TV software to media companies and telecom providers so they can distribute programming across devices and earn money from their audiences. Its AI offerings include Content Lab for content creation and Agentic Avatars for conversational interactions.
Large enterprises and institutions supply the substantial majority of revenue. Customers mainly pay through annual or multi-year subscriptions, generally with committed usage amounts; professional services provide a smaller revenue stream. Kaltura earns software and service fees rather than necessarily sharing in the subscriptions or advertising revenue its TV customers collect.
The business depends on customers renewing and expanding their subscriptions, with a significant share of revenue concentrated among a small group of customers, including Vodafone. Privacy and cross-border data rules constrain how Kaltura processes and transfers user information.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Kaltura depends on enterprise and education video spending and TV-platform contracts, with Vimeo, Zoom and ON24 adding direct competition beyond this list.
Bending Spoons owns Brightcove, which competes directly with Kaltura to provide businesses with platforms for managing and delivering video and other media. For Kaltura investors, Brightcove is the relevant part of Bending Spoons' portfolio of acquired digital businesses.
Vodafone buys Kaltura's services and supplied approximately 10.1% of its 2025 revenue, making renewals and spending by this European and African telecom provider materially important. Watch whether Vodafone renews or reduces its subscriptions: losing that revenue could significantly hurt Kaltura.
Microsoft competes with Kaltura for organizations' video and collaboration spending through its productivity and video offerings. Its Productivity and Business Processes segment is more relevant to this rivalry than results from its gaming or device businesses.
Xperi and Kaltura both sell TV software to operators that lets viewers watch on demand and receive personalized content, while helping operators earn money from it. Xperi's advertising revenue from these pay-TV solutions sits in Media Platform, a more relevant line to watch than its automotive business.
Amazon's AWS hosts Kaltura's cloud services while also competing for enterprise and media technology customers. Restrictions on AWS access in Russia and China matter to Kaltura's ability to reach customers and renew or expand subscriptions there.
Comcast's cloud TV and streaming platforms compete with the software Kaltura sells to media companies, telecom providers and other content owners. Watch Comcast's video platforms, including X1 and Sky Stream, rather than treating its broadband, content or theme-park results as a readout of this competition.

Microsoft's report will show how organizations' spending on productivity, video and collaboration shapes Kaltura's competition for enterprise customers.
Watch Microsoft's Productivity and Business Processes segment, and any reported evidence of video and collaboration adoption. Segment growth alone does not prove that video is growing. If both are strong, organizations are spending, but Microsoft's broader offering also strengthens its competition for Kaltura's enterprise customers. If the segment is weak, tighter budgets could make Kaltura's renewals and expansions harder; that alone would not mean competitive pressure has eased.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s rate decision signals the direction of borrowing costs, which can affect what Kaltura pays if it refinances its term loan or borrows on its revolving facility.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher borrowing costs could make refinancing or future borrowing more expensive for Kaltura, increasing the amount it pays to lenders.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower borrowing costs could make refinancing or future borrowing cheaper for Kaltura, reducing the amount it pays to lenders.

Xperi's Media Platform results, especially advertising revenue from pay-TV solutions, will show whether operators are monetizing TV audiences and how Kaltura's rival is faring.
Read Media Platform results alongside advertising revenue from pay-TV solutions. If both strengthen, operators are actively monetizing audiences and Xperi's competing business is gaining ground: that points to demand for TV monetization tools, but also more direct competition for Kaltura. If both weaken, the market may be soft or Xperi may be losing ground; the report's detail must distinguish those explanations, and the result alone does not prove Kaltura's demand is falling.
Kaltura, Inc. earningsThis company
Kaltura's report will show whether subscriptions from its larger enterprise and education business continue to offset declines in TV software, and whether revenue is covering the cost of serving customers.
Read subscription revenue in EE&T and M&T together, then check operating loss and operating cash flow. If EE&T subscriptions keep growing, M&T steadies, and losses narrow or cash flow holds, the larger business is making up for weakness in TV software and revenue is better supporting operations. If EE&T slows while M&T keeps falling and losses or cash flow worsen, growth remains narrow and is not covering operating costs.
Vodafone Group PLC earningsVOD
Vodafone's report will show the business and spending conditions of a major Kaltura customer, helping frame the risk to its Kaltura subscriptions.
Give most weight to any disclosure about supplier or technology spending, or a renewal involving Kaltura. Vodafone's overall results show a customer's ability and budget conditions, not whether it will renew a Kaltura contract. Explicitly maintained spending or a renewal would lower the risk to this important customer revenue; cuts or reduced subscriptions would raise it. If the report gives only general results, conclude only what they say about Vodafone's capacity, not that Kaltura's revenue has changed.
