Kingsoft Cloud serves mainly enterprises in China that need computing capacity, data storage and tools to run applications and AI workloads. Most revenue comes from its public cloud, where customers generally pay monthly according to usage and duration. Its Starflow platform supports AI model training, inference and related services. Enterprise cloud projects provide the other substantial revenue stream: Kingsoft Cloud plans, deploys and maintains cloud solutions, charging by project or work completed. Its Galaxy Stack lets customers run a public-cloud architecture within their own IT infrastructure.
Leading enterprises account for almost all revenue, so retaining these customers and their spending matters. Xiaomi Group supplies a substantial share of revenue and is also a lender; Kingsoft Group is another customer and lender.
Delivering these services depends on access to servers, third-party data centers and telecommunications bandwidth; export controls can restrict advanced hardware sourcing. China restricts foreign ownership of value-added telecommunications businesses, so Kingsoft Cloud operates those services through companies it controls by contract rather than owns directly, known as VIEs. These companies generate most revenue and hold critical operating licenses. The business also must comply with Chinese telecommunications, cybersecurity and data-protection requirements.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Kingsoft Cloud’s results hinge on Chinese enterprise and AI cloud spending, with Huawei and Volcano Engine important competitors to watch outside this list.
Alibaba Group’s Alibaba Cloud competes with Kingsoft Cloud for Chinese enterprises paying for cloud infrastructure and AI services. Watch Alibaba’s AI and cloud business for changes in spending by those shared customers.
Baidu’s AI Cloud competes with Kingsoft Cloud for Chinese enterprises’ AI and cloud budgets. Its AI Cloud business is the part to watch alongside Kingsoft Cloud’s public-cloud revenue, whose 2025 growth was driven primarily by AI demand.
GDS and Kingsoft Cloud share demand from China’s cloud and AI expansion: cloud providers pay GDS for space, power and cooling for their equipment, while Kingsoft Cloud adds servers and data-center spending to serve AI customers. Watch demand from cloud providers in GDS’s Chinese data centers as a sign of the infrastructure needs accompanying that expansion.
VNET’s data-center demand reflects the infrastructure expansion also behind Kingsoft Cloud’s rising AI-related spending: large cloud providers pay VNET to build and operate Chinese sites to their specifications. Watch how much of VNET’s wholesale data-center capacity customers actually use, not just how much they commit to taking.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Kingsoft Cloud both sell computing capacity to customers running AI workloads, so demand for that capacity and how fully it is used matter to both businesses.
Microsoft’s Azure and Kingsoft Cloud both earn revenue from computing infrastructure used by enterprise and AI customers, making cloud and AI demand relevant to both even though their main markets differ.
Baidu, Inc. earningsBIDU
Baidu competes with Kingsoft Cloud for Chinese enterprises' cloud and AI budgets; its report will show whether AI Cloud demand is expanding or more spending is going to Baidu.
Compare Baidu's AI Cloud results with Kingsoft Cloud's public-cloud revenue growth. Growth at both would point to expanding Chinese enterprise demand for cloud and AI, giving Kingsoft Cloud a larger market to serve. If Baidu is strong while Kingsoft Cloud's public-cloud growth weakens, competition may be making those budgets harder for Kingsoft Cloud to win, though the reports alone cannot prove customers have switched.

Kingsoft Cloud charges public-cloud customers for usage and invests in servers and data centers; this report will show whether AI-led revenue growth is keeping pace with the cost of serving it.
Read public-cloud revenue growth alongside gross margin, the share of revenue left after service costs. Faster growth with a stable or rising margin would show that demand is keeping pace with the cost of providing service; slower growth or a falling margin would point to weaker demand or infrastructure costs outstripping revenue. Then compare operating cash flow with capital spending to see whether growth is also producing cash to fund the build-out.
GDS Holdings Limited earningsGDS
GDS provides data-center space, power and cooling to cloud providers; its report will show whether their demand for capacity in China is keeping up with expansion.
Look at how much of GDS's data-center capacity cloud providers actually use, not just how much they have committed to take. Higher use would show that demand tied to China's cloud and AI activity is translating into infrastructure needs, supporting the case for Kingsoft Cloud's spending on servers and data centers. Weak use would suggest new capacity may take time to fill, leaving the demand behind Kingsoft Cloud's infrastructure spending in question.
