Intellicheck helps banks, retailers and other businesses check identity documents to prevent fraud. Its software reads and authenticates documents such as U.S. and Canadian driver’s licenses through smartphones, tablets and checkout systems. Customers pay for this cloud-based software by the scan or through fixed-price contracts, including monthly fees per device or business location. Software subscriptions generate nearly all revenue; hardware sales play a much smaller role.
A small group of major customers supplies most revenue. The service depends on government agencies sharing reference data and sample documents, and on continual updates as identification formats change. It also relies on access to features of third-party mobile devices and checkout hardware. Privacy laws govern how the company may collect, use and retain the personal information involved in verification.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Intellicheck resells authID Inc.’s biometric technology alongside its own identity-verification offerings, while authID also sells identity-proofing software to enterprise buyers. Watch the Illinois biometric-privacy lawsuit naming both companies: it concerns their reseller relationship, though authID disputes the allegations.
T Stamp Inc., known as Trust Stamp, competes with Intellicheck for enterprises licensing identity-verification technology to prevent fraudulent account creation and identity misuse. Watch adoption through partners that put its software into industry-specific applications, especially its ability to detect one person creating multiple identities despite using falsified documents.
Aware Inc competes with Intellicheck to sell identity-verification and authentication software to commercial customers, but also serves government agencies with biometric software. Its commercial customer and workforce enrollment business is the closer comparison; law-enforcement processing and forensic analysis are less relevant to Intellicheck’s retail and banking fraud-prevention business.
Rank One Computing Corporation competes with Intellicheck for financial and retail customers buying software to verify people’s identities remotely. Watch its expansion from government work into commercial identity verification, particularly ROC Enroll and its growing financial-company and large-retailer customer base.
Red Violet, Inc. competes with Intellicheck for financial-services and retail customers paying to verify identities and prevent fraud, using identity records rather than Intellicheck’s document authentication. Its IDI business, including idiCORE, is the closer comparison; FOREWARN subscriptions serve real estate professionals instead.
Clear Secure, Inc.’s CLEAR1 competes with Intellicheck to sell businesses identity verification using document authentication. Watch CLEAR1 rather than CLEAR+ airport subscriptions: the latter are paid by travelers for dedicated security lanes and make Clear’s overall results a less direct comparison.

Clear Secure's report can show whether businesses are buying CLEAR1 document checks like Intellicheck's, rather than airport subscriptions driving the headline.
If the report breaks out CLEAR1, separate its business demand from CLEAR+ airport subscriptions. Stronger CLEAR1 activity would signal that companies are adopting document checks like Intellicheck's; if CLEAR1 is weak and growth comes mainly from CLEAR+, Clear Secure's overall growth would not show stronger business demand for identity verification.

Intellicheck's report will show whether subscription software revenue is still growing without giving up its high gross margin.
Read subscription software revenue alongside gross margin, the share of revenue left after direct service costs. Faster subscription growth with a steady margin would show that more software licenses or identity checks are scaling without materially eroding revenue. Slower growth or a falling margin could point to weaker customer uptake or a costlier service mix. Together, they show whether Intellicheck is expanding its software business efficiently.
