U.S. Global Investors selects and manages investments for funds serving individual and institutional investors. Its clients include U.S. Global Investors Funds and ETFs, which pay advisory fees based on their assets; the mutual funds also pay for administrative services. ETF advisory fees provide most operating revenue, while gold and natural resources funds account for most of its mutual-fund advisory fees.
The business relies heavily on U.S. Global Jets ETF (JETS), which supplies a large share of operating revenue. Fund performance, investor service and marketing help attract and retain assets. Falling portfolio values or investor withdrawals shrink the asset base on which fees are charged. Advisory agreements can also generally be terminated on short notice and require annual renewal.
The company separately invests its own capital, earning interest, dividends and investment gains. This portfolio includes securities tied to the cryptocurrency industry rather than direct cryptocurrency holdings, so investment income also depends on those securities’ performance.
Securities laws constrain transfers of advisory contracts. A change in control can trigger these rules, requiring client consent and, for mutual-fund management agreements, board and shareholder approval to continue the relationship.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
U.S. Global Investors’ results hinge on airline and gold-sector fund assets and returns on its own investments, including income and gains from HIVE debt that can convert into shares.
Invesco and U.S. Global Investors both sell funds and ETFs to investors, so changes in fund assets affect both companies’ management fees. Watch Invesco’s ETF assets, but distinguish them from its actively managed equity funds, which earn higher fees.
Franklin Templeton competes with U.S. Global Investors for investors’ money in managed investment products, and both earn advisory fees tied to those assets. Franklin’s asset mix matters alongside its total assets, because different asset classes generate different fees.
Virtus Investment Partners competes with U.S. Global Investors for retail fund and ETF assets; both manage investors’ money and collect management and fund-service fees based on assets. Virtus’s U.S. retail funds and ETFs are the part to watch for this overlap, rather than its institutional accounts.
Victory Capital Holdings, Inc. competes with U.S. Global Investors for investors’ money allocated to professionally managed U.S. and international stocks. Watch assets in Victory’s U.S. and global or non-U.S. equity strategies; U.S. Global Investors earns advisory fees from its international equity funds.
Affiliated Managers Group’s affiliated managers compete with U.S. Global Investors for investors seeking distinctive stock strategies through mutual funds and ETFs. Their equity strategies are the relevant comparison with U.S. Global Investors’ specialized funds, rather than AMG’s private-market assets.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
U.S. Global Investors’ corporate investments can lose value or earn less income when interest rates change, affecting the investment income that contributes to its results.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates can reduce the value of the company’s corporate investments and income from investments whose rates adjust, weighing on investment income and results.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates can support the value of the company’s corporate investments, though they may reduce income from investments whose rates adjust, changing investment income and results.
Virtus Investment Partners, Inc. earningsVRTS
Virtus Investment Partners’ report will show whether its U.S. retail funds and ETFs are attracting assets, giving U.S. Global Investors a read on competition for the same investors’ money.
Compare changes in Virtus Investment Partners’ U.S. retail fund and ETF assets with net flows into or out of those products. Rising assets alongside net inflows would show that these products are attracting investors’ money—the same pool U.S. Global Investors seeks to win. Falling assets and net outflows would point to greater difficulty retaining or attracting those assets. Virtus’s results are not U.S. Global Investors’ own results, but they show the competitive setting in which it seeks assets.
US Global Investors Inc earningsThis company
U.S. Global Investors earns mainly from fees tied to the assets it manages, and this report will show whether assets in its ETFs and funds are supporting that revenue.
Compare assets under management with advisory fees for ETFs and the company’s own funds, paying particular attention to JETS-related assets; JETS accounted for 47% of revenue in fiscal 2026. If assets and fees rise together, fund assets are supporting the fee base. If JETS-related assets fall and ETF fees also decline, an important revenue source is under pressure. Net income can also move with the company’s own investment results, so it does not by itself show how the management business is doing.
