GoPro sells HERO and MAX cameras, mounts and accessories that let users capture footage in different settings. Hardware provides most of its revenue. Retailers and distributors account for most sales, while consumers also buy directly from GoPro.com. A relatively small group of large third-party customers supplies a substantial share of revenue, making their purchasing decisions and willingness to stock and promote GoPro products important.
Users also pay for Premium, Premium+ and Quik subscriptions, which support media backup, editing, story creation and sharing. This smaller revenue stream depends on camera buyers taking up subscriptions and continuing to see enough value to renew.
GoPro relies entirely on outside manufacturers and suppliers for hardware production, with some key camera components available from only one or a few sources. Its business depends on securing those components, launching new products on time and matching production to demand. Holiday shopping has historically been its strongest sales period, making product-launch timing and retailer inventory particularly important.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
GoPro’s results hinge on camera launches and market share against specialist rivals including Insta360 and DJI, neither of which is shown in this list.
Sony competes with GoPro for camera buyers, but its gaming, music and film businesses make group results a less direct guide to GoPro’s prospects. Watch Sony’s imaging business rather than its overall revenue for a read on camera competition.
Apple’s camera-equipped phones and media editing and storage services let consumers replace parts of what GoPro sells through cameras and subscriptions. Watch Apple’s photo, video and related service features: GoPro says its Quik app and subscription offerings may be less compelling than Apple’s alternatives.
Best Buy buys GoPro cameras to resell to consumers, so it is both a sales outlet and a broader gauge of spending on electronics. Watch its holiday electronics sales for clues to GoPro’s hardware demand: GoPro has historically seen its highest revenue and retail inventory sell-through in the fourth quarter.

GoPro’s report will show whether camera pricing and subscription income can offset pressure from shipments and component costs and improve its operating loss.
Read camera shipments, average selling price and the share of higher-priced models alongside subscription revenue, attach rate (the share of camera buyers who subscribe) and renewals. If pricing and subscriptions support gross margin—the share of revenue left after product costs—and the operating loss narrows, GoPro is doing more than relying on fewer, higher-priced cameras to support revenue. If shipments, subscriptions or margin weaken and the loss does not improve, demand and cost pressures are still outweighing those supports.
Sony Group Corporation earningsSONY
Sony’s imaging results will show whether competition from a camera rival may be adding pressure on GoPro.
Compare Sony’s imaging results with GoPro’s camera shipments and pricing mix. If Sony’s imaging business strengthens while GoPro’s shipments weaken, that points to possible added competitive pressure on GoPro, but does not prove a market-share shift. If Sony weakens while GoPro shipments hold steadier, that suggests greater relative resilience; Sony’s results are a clue to competition, not a measure of GoPro’s own performance.
Best Buy Company, Inc. earningsBBY
Best Buy’s holiday electronics sales will show whether consumer demand and a retail outlet for GoPro are supporting camera sales.
Compare Best Buy’s holiday electronics sales with GoPro’s later-reported hardware revenue and camera shipments. If Best Buy is strong and GoPro holds up, retail demand may be helping GoPro sell cameras; if both weaken, broader consumer pressure may be part of the explanation. If Best Buy is strong while GoPro weakens, pressure may be more specific to GoPro’s products. These comparisons are clues, not a substitute for GoPro’s own sales data.
