Fiverr International Ltd. lets individuals and businesses buy digital services from freelancers and agencies. Sellers package their work into listings called Gigs, with a defined scope, delivery time and price. Buyers search, compare and order these services, and both buyers and sellers pay Fiverr transaction commissions on completed orders. These commissions provide most of its revenue.
Fiverr also charges for tools that help sellers attract customers or run their businesses. Sellers can pay to promote listings through Fiverr Ads or subscribe to Seller Plus, while AutoDS provides e-commerce and dropshipping software. These optional services supply a smaller but substantial part of revenue.
The business depends on attracting and retaining both buyers and freelancers—and keeping their transactions on Fiverr rather than moving elsewhere to avoid fees. Most revenue comes from buyers in English-speaking countries. Active buyers have declined in recent years as AI reduces demand for simple, lower-skilled services.
Fiverr relies on banks, payment processors and other partners to collect buyer payments and pay sellers. Payment-handling rules could require Fiverr to obtain additional licenses. Sanctions also limit whom it can serve; it has terminated accounts in sanctioned countries.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Fiverr’s results hinge on businesses’ demand for freelance work and a shift toward complex services as AI and creative tools from Adobe and Canva offer alternatives to outsourcing creative content.
Upwork Inc. competes with Fiverr for businesses hiring freelancers; both collect fees on the work and also earn money from seller advertising and memberships. Watch Upwork’s Marketplace fee revenue for clues to demand for paid freelance work, which also drives Fiverr’s transaction commissions.
Getty Images competes with Fiverr for corporate and agency spending on creative content, selling rights to use images, video and music or taking commissions to create custom content; it explicitly names Fiverr’s freelancer network as a competing source. Watch its Creative revenue rather than Editorial revenue for the closer read on the content budgets Fiverr freelancers compete for.
SHUTTERSTOCK, INC. competes with Fiverr freelancers for businesses’ creative-content budgets by charging customers to use images, video and music and paying royalties to contributors; both face generative-AI alternatives. Watch Shutterstock’s Content revenue for demand for licensed creative material, alongside Fiverr’s reported AI pressure on simple, low-skilled services.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
For Fiverr, the Fed’s policy rate—the rate that guides borrowing costs across the economy—can change interest earned on its $117.7 million of primarily fixed-income marketable securities as they mature or are reinvested.

If it comes in above expectations
If the Fed’s rate is higher than expected, interest rates across the economy may rise, increasing Fiverr’s borrowing costs on any debt that reprices or new borrowing, while potentially raising yields on new or reinvested securities.
If it comes in below expectations
If the Fed’s rate is lower than expected, interest rates across the economy may fall, reducing Fiverr’s borrowing costs on any debt that reprices or new borrowing, while potentially lowering yields on new or reinvested securities.

Fiverr’s report will show whether activity on its freelancer marketplace is stabilizing and whether advertising, subscriptions and software are still driving services revenue.
Read marketplace GMV—the total value of work bought through the platform—alongside services revenue, and check active buyers and spending per buyer. If GMV stabilizes while services revenue grows, both freelancer transactions and Fiverr’s advertising, subscriptions and software are supporting growth. If buyers and GMV keep falling while growth comes mainly from services, the newer business is expanding but the core marketplace is still shrinking. That shows whether growth is reaching both sides of Fiverr’s business.
Upwork Inc. earningsUPWK
Upwork Inc.’s report will show how businesses are buying freelance work through a marketplace, offering a clue to demand behind Fiverr’s transaction commissions.
Check whether Upwork’s Marketplace fee revenue holds up or grows, alongside what it says about marketplace activity. Stable or rising fees suggest businesses are still buying freelance services on Upwork, a useful signal for whether similar demand can support Fiverr’s transaction commissions. Falling fees point to softer paid-freelance demand and a possible headwind for Fiverr’s marketplace, though the two platforms need not move in step.
Getty Images Holdings, Inc. earningsGETY
Getty Images’ report will show how businesses and agencies are spending on creative content, a budget Fiverr freelancers also compete for.
Compare Getty Images’ Creative revenue with its Editorial revenue. If Creative holds up better, businesses and agencies are still spending on commercial creative content, so the budget Fiverr freelancers pursue may not be broadly shrinking—though Getty Images is competing for that spending too. If Creative weakens, those budgets may be under pressure or customers may be turning to alternatives such as generative AI, making competition tougher for Fiverr freelancers. The point is the direction of shared creative budgets, not treating Getty Images’ sales as Fiverr orders.
