Company

Company overview

Eastern International Ltd., through Suzhou TC-Link, helps companies move equipment and goods to construction sites, warehouses and distributors. Most revenue comes from project logistics: planning and carrying out deliveries of oversized equipment for wind, solar and other infrastructure projects, with handling, storage and installation where needed. Customers include Goldwind and JD Logistics. General logistics for ordinary goods, such as household appliances, and subleasing warehouse space provide smaller revenue streams.

The company combines its own trucks with capacity hired from independent operators. It arranges dispatch and loading, collects customer payment after delivery is confirmed, and pays the operators directly. Its current transportation services are confined to mainland China, including the domestic leg of export shipments to terminals and ports. Earnings depend on customer shipping needs and the cost and availability of outside transport capacity. One customer accounts for a substantial share of revenue, making continued orders from that customer especially important.

Eastern also entered new-energy infrastructure construction through its acquisition of Guizhou Tianrun Zhicheng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. This newer business undertakes work such as wind-farm roads, lifting platforms and substation civil construction; the company plans to pursue more projects. The work depends on customers awarding and funding projects, is limited to the project types and sizes covered by its contracting qualifications, and requires local permits, environmental clearances and land-access rights.

Eastern International’s results increasingly hinge on renewable-energy projects for customers such as Goldwind and Trina Solar and on subcontractor trucking costs, rather than international air-freight demand.

  • Smart Logistics Global competes with Eastern International for large corporate customers that pay them to move industrial goods by land under contract. Watch its full-truckload business carrying industrial raw materials—the closest comparison with Eastern International’s contracted land transport, rather than its oversized project cargo.

  • Jayud competes with Eastern International to provide tailored transport and storage for companies moving goods through China, but focuses on arranging cross-border shipments rather than oversized domestic project cargo. Its contract-logistics and warehousing revenue offer a closer comparison with Eastern International’s services than its chartered-airline-freight revenue.
