Most of Carlisle Companies’ revenue comes from Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), which supplies roofing materials primarily for commercial buildings. It sells roofing membranes and insulation either together as systems backed by warranties or separately. Brands include Carlisle SynTec, Versico and Hunter Panels. Authorized sales representatives and distributors bring these products to construction, repair and roof-replacement markets, mainly in North America and Europe.
Its smaller Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) business sells materials that keep water, moisture and air from passing through buildings, along with insulation. It serves commercial and residential markets, primarily in the United States and Canada, selling mostly through distributors and retail outlets.
The main roofing business depends more on replacing aging roofs on non-residential buildings than on new construction. Carlisle also relies on large customers: QXO, which acquired Beacon Roofing Supply, and ABC Supply each account for a substantial share of company revenue.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Carlisle depends chiefly on commercial roof replacement and major roofing distributors QXO, including acquired Beacon, and ABC Supply, which together accounted for about one-third of its 2025 revenue.
RPM International competes for construction customers with roofing systems and construction chemicals that rival Carlisle’s commercial roofing and weatherproofing products. Watch RPM’s roofing-system sales and pricing for signs of competitive pressure on Carlisle’s roofing business.
H.B. Fuller competes with part of Carlisle’s weatherproofing business by selling adhesives and sealants for roofs and building exteriors, overlapping with Carlisle’s sealants and systems that keep water out of joints. Watch Fuller’s roofing and building-envelope business rather than its broader industrial adhesive sales when assessing this competition.
Housing Starts (Sep)
Homebuilding readings track new residential construction and sales; more activity can mean more demand for Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies’ residential building-envelope products and some additional demand for Carlisle Construction Materials’ new-construction products.
Expected1.31MLast release1.275M
If it comes in above expectations
If the reading is above the 1.31M estimate, it is above the previous 1.275M. More homes started or permitted than expected points to stronger building activity, which may lift orders for CWT’s residential moisture-protection, insulation and other building-envelope products; some new construction may also support CCM product demand.
If it comes in below expectations
Fewer homes started or permitted than expected points to weaker building activity, which may reduce orders for CWT’s residential building-envelope products and limit new-construction demand for CCM.

Carlisle's report will show whether re-roofing demand can offset weaker new construction and support roofing margins, while building-envelope sales will show whether the softness is spreading.
First compare CCM sales excluding acquisitions and currency effects with its operating margin; then check the same measures for CWT. Rising CCM sales with a steadying margin would show that sales and cost control are supporting profitability. Falling sales with a further margin decline would show that lower volumes are still adding cost pressure. If CWT weakens too, the softness extends beyond roofing; if CWT holds up, the pressure is more concentrated in CCM.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
For Carlisle, the Fed’s policy rate matters because higher borrowing costs can slow construction and reduce demand for its commercial roofing and building-envelope products.
Expected4.0%Last release4.0%
If it comes in above expectations
If the rate is above expectations, more expensive new borrowing and debt that resets to current rates may weigh on construction, reducing demand for Carlisle’s roofing and building-envelope products.
If it comes in below expectations
If the rate is below expectations, cheaper borrowing may support construction activity and demand for Carlisle’s commercial roofing and building-envelope products.
RPM International, Inc. earningsRPM
RPM's report will show whether roofing-system sales and pricing are holding up in the market where it competes with Carlisle's commercial roofing business.
Read RPM's roofing-system sales alongside its pricing. If both hold up, the shared market has demand and sellers are still realizing prices, though RPM remains a competitor to Carlisle. If both weaken, Carlisle's roofing business faces softer demand or greater pricing pressure. Together, the results show whether market support is holding and how tough the competitive setting may be.
