Company

Company overview

Cellebrite DI Ltd. helps investigators turn data from phones, computers and cloud applications into usable evidence. Its Inseyets software accesses and extracts encrypted, deleted or hidden data for legally sanctioned investigations. Pathfinder helps investigators analyze evidence, while Guardian products help them manage and share it. Customers generally run the software on their own systems, though some offerings are available online.

Government agencies, especially law enforcement, supply the vast majority of revenue; corporations and service providers make up a smaller business. Customers mainly pay through annual or multi-year software subscriptions, with updates and technical support included in on-premise subscription offerings. Expansion has relied chiefly on existing customers buying additional subscriptions, making renewals, broader adoption and government funding central to the business.

Cellebrite must keep its device-access capabilities working as manufacturers change security, encryption and operating systems. Israeli export controls and other countries’ licensing and sanctions rules also limit where it can supply some products and when it needs government permission.

Cellebrite’s results hinge on law-enforcement spending on digital forensics and competition with core rivals absent from this list: Magnet Forensics, Microsystemation, Oxygen Forensics and Exterro.

  • Cognyte Software Ltd. competes with Cellebrite for government agencies buying software to combine and analyze investigation data. Watch Cognyte’s government-contract revenue for clues to demand for investigative analytics, an area Cellebrite also serves with Pathfinder.

  • Axon Enterprise competes with Cellebrite for law-enforcement agencies’ evidence-management software spending. Their evidence sources are complementary: Axon’s connected devices capture evidence, while Cellebrite’s tools extract it from phones.

  • Palantir Technologies competes with Cellebrite’s expanding investigative analytics business and planned Guardian Investigate offering by selling government customers platforms that integrate and analyze data. Watch Palantir’s government business, rather than its commercial business, for the relevant competitive signal.

  • Open Text Corp competes with Cellebrite for private-sector customers buying tools to collect and examine electronic evidence for corporate investigations. That overlap concerns Cellebrite’s enterprise and service-provider customers, rather than the public-sector customers that supplied more than 90% of its revenue in 2025.

  • Tyler Technologies and Cellebrite both serve government agencies modernizing police and justice workflows. Agencies buy public-safety and justice software from Tyler and investigative tools from Cellebrite, making that modernization spending the connection to watch.
