CitroTech Inc. makes chemicals that form a protective coating on combustible surfaces, helping prevent ignition and slow flame spread. Homeowners, businesses and fire departments in the United States and Canada buy its products and application or installation services. Product sales bring in more revenue than installation services; customers include municipalities such as San Diego.
Its CitroSafe Systems sprinklers apply the chemicals to residential and commercial properties before a wildfire and can be activated remotely. CitroTech is also beginning to commercialize wood coatings, working with lumber and building-material companies that use its treatment to produce Class A fire-rated lumber.
The business is still developing a regular customer base. It has relied heavily on a few customers for commercialization and testing, although its latest reported revenue was not dominated by any single customer. Demand depends on wildfire conditions, and sales have historically been stronger in summer. CitroTech compounds its products in-house, buys a substantial share of its materials from one supplier and has no supplier contracts.
The products face federal regulatory oversight, including EPA audits and U.S. Forest Service testing requirements for toxicity, corrosion and stability. Loss of approval could restrict their use or sale.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
CitroTech’s results hinge on wildfire-driven protection spending and turning early-stage home-protection systems and fire-retardant wood treatments into sustained customer adoption.
Perimeter Solutions and CitroTech both sell fire-retardant chemicals to fire agencies and commercial customers, so wildfire activity influences demand for both. Watch Perimeter’s wildfire-retardant sales within Fire Safety for a read on that shared demand, rather than its unrelated Specialty Products business.

Perimeter Solutions’ report will show demand for wildfire retardants from fire agencies and commercial customers, a read on the market CitroTech’s fire-retardant chemicals also serve.
Focus on wildfire-retardant sales within Perimeter Solutions’ Fire Safety business, not its unrelated Specialty Products business. Stronger sales would point to firmer demand from fire agencies and commercial customers, a supportive backdrop for CitroTech’s specialty-chemical sales to customers such as municipalities. Weaker sales would suggest a softer shared demand environment, but would not establish that CitroTech’s own sales fell.

CitroTech’s report will show whether sales are growing faster than the cost of its products and installation services, leaving more to cover other expenses.
Read revenue alongside cost of revenue, then check cash used in operating activities. If revenue grows faster than cost of revenue, more gross profit—the amount left after product and installation costs—may help ease operating cash use. If costs rise just as fast or faster, higher sales may still do little to reduce losses or cash use.
