B.O.S. Better On-Line Solutions Ltd. buys electromechanical components from manufacturers it represents or from the open market, assembles component kits and sells them to defense and high-tech customers. This Supply Chain Solutions business generates most of BOS’s revenue. Customers include Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems and Rafael, which BOS supplies directly and through their subcontractors.
Its next-largest business, RFID, helps stores and warehouses track inventory. Customers pay for scanning equipment, Mantis Informatics Israel Ltd. warehouse-management software licenses and implementation, equipment support and inventory-counting services. BOS combines its own software with third-party equipment to update customers’ business systems. A much smaller robotics business builds custom automation and integrates robots into production lines.
Most revenue comes from Israel, and defense customers account for a substantial share of the business. Component supply depends on a small group of manufacturers represented on a non-exclusive basis, with Positronics Manufacturing Company an important supplier. Components sold to aerospace and defense customers must meet aviation quality standards; failure to comply can limit sales.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
BOS depends heavily on Israeli defense production and orders from Israel Aerospace Industries, Rafael and Elbit Systems, as well as component supply from Positronics Manufacturing Company.
Elbit Systems buys electromechanical components and robotics solutions from BOS for its defense-systems business, so rising defense production supports both companies. Watch Elbit’s production demand: it is BOS’s flagship robotics customer, and 90% of BOS’s Intelligent Robotics backlog serves the defense sector.
Arrow Electronics competes with BOS for industrial electronics manufacturers’ spending on electronic and electromechanical parts and services that help source and deliver them. Arrow’s sales of connectors, switches and relays offer a more relevant comparison for BOS’s component business than its semiconductor sales.
Avnet competes with BOS to sell electronic and electromechanical components to electronics manufacturers and help them design products and manage parts supply. Watch Avnet’s Electronic Components business, where pricing and product availability matter in the market BOS also serves.
Arrow Electronics, Inc. earningsARW
Arrow Electronics’ report will show how industrial electronics makers are buying connectors, switches and relays in the component market where it competes with BOS.
Focus on Arrow’s connector, switch and relay sales, not semiconductor sales, which are a different market signal. Stronger sales in those components point to more active customer purchasing and firmer demand for BOS’s component business; weaker sales point to softer or delayed purchasing and more pressure on BOS to win orders.
Elbit Systems Ltd earningsESLT
Elbit Systems’ report will show how defense production demand is changing at the flagship customer for BOS’s robotics business.
Read Elbit’s defense production demand alongside progress and revenue in BOS’s robotics business. Strong demand means this flagship customer has more reason to advance defense projects, supporting BOS in completing robotics projects and recognizing revenue. Weaker demand means less customer pull and a harder path for BOS to turn its defense-heavy backlog into sales.

BOS’s report will show whether growth in its component-heavy business is translating into gross profit as product mix and supplier costs shift.
Read revenue growth alongside gross margin, the share of sales left after product costs. If component-led revenue grows and the margin holds or rises, growth is not being eaten up by product mix or supplier costs. If revenue weakens or the margin falls, demand, pricing or costs are constraining the gain; the question is whether BOS can turn sales into profit.
