Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. designs and manufactures Fleetguard filters for fuel, lubricating oil and air used in trucks, buses and equipment serving agriculture, construction, mining and power generation. Most sales come from parts replaced during maintenance and repair, sold through vehicle and equipment manufacturers’ dealers, independent distributors and retailers. A smaller business supplies manufacturers with filters for new vehicles and equipment; those installations help generate later replacement-part demand.
Major vehicle and engine manufacturers account for most sales. Cummins is the largest customer, while PACCAR and the Traton Group also contribute substantial sales. These relationships give Atmus access to both new-equipment and replacement-parts business, but its key customer agreements generally do not guarantee purchase volumes.
Nearly all sales are tied to filtration for internal-combustion engines, so the business depends on continued use and servicing of those engines and customers’ preference for Fleetguard replacements. Adoption of alternative power technologies can reduce that demand. Separately, a tax agreement with Cummins restricts certain acquisitions, mergers, asset sales and stock redemptions, limiting Atmus’s freedom to pursue strategic transactions.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Atmus relies chiefly on recurring equipment maintenance; outside this list, watch Traton, which contributed 11.5% of its 2025 sales, and key filtration rivals MANN+HUMMEL and MAHLE.
Donaldson competes with Atmus for sales of filters installed in new trucks, construction, mining and agricultural equipment and replaced during maintenance. Watch its Mobile Solutions business, which serves these equipment markets, rather than its industrial or life-sciences sales.
Atmus depends most on Cummins, which buys filters for its engines and aftermarket network and accounted for approximately 18.8% of Atmus’s 2025 sales. Watch production of Cummins engines that use Atmus filters: the supply agreements cover new engines and replacement needs but guarantee no purchase volumes.
PACCAR’s truck production and replacement-parts business feed Atmus filter sales: the truck maker bought filtration products accounting for 16.3% of Atmus’s 2025 sales. Watch PACCAR’s Parts sales alongside new-truck sales, since Atmus supplies both maintenance replacements and filters installed in new vehicles.
Parker-Hannifin competes with Atmus in engine filtration, but also sells products that control movement and fluids to equipment makers and replacement-parts distributors across transportation and off-highway markets. Its engine-filtration news is therefore more directly relevant to Atmus than results from its broader industrial and aerospace businesses.
Deere’s agricultural and construction equipment production and maintenance create orders for Atmus filters, both for installation in new machines and for later replacement. Watch sales of Deere’s equipment and service parts to farmers and construction customers for clues to demand in these Atmus off-highway markets.
Gates Industrial Corporation Ltd. shares Atmus’s reliance on keeping vehicles and equipment running: it sells replacement belts, hoses and fittings, while Atmus sells filters, with both businesses drawing heavily on replacement demand. Watch Gates’ aftermarket sales for a read on wear and preventive maintenance rather than new-equipment production alone.
Allison Transmission sells transmissions and service parts for commercial-vehicle fleets whose operation and maintenance also drive Atmus filter demand. Its relatively stable aftermarket revenue in 2025, supported by a growing installed base and normal parts replacement, offers a maintenance-demand comparison for Atmus rather than a direct filter-sales signal.
Paccar Inc earningsPCAR
PACCAR’s report will show whether its truck and parts businesses are both supporting demand for Atmus’s first-fit and replacement filters.
Compare PACCAR’s new-truck sales with its parts sales. Strength in both would point to support for Atmus filters fitted in new trucks and for replacements; weak truck sales but steady parts would leave replacement demand firmer while new-vehicle orders face pressure; weakness in both would signal softer demand from this major customer.
Durable Goods Orders MoM (Sep)
Durable goods orders track purchases of long-lasting equipment; for Atmus, stronger or weaker orders can change OEM demand for Fleetguard filters installed in new trucks and equipment and, later, demand for replacement filters from fleets and other users.
Expected0.2%Last release-0.1%
If it comes in above expectations
If the reading is above the 0.2% estimate, it is above the previous -0.1%. More orders could lead OEMs to build more trucks and equipment, lifting Atmus’s first-fit filter sales and, as those units are used, later replacement demand from fleets and other customers.
If it comes in below expectations
Fewer orders could lead OEMs to build fewer trucks and equipment, reducing Atmus’s first-fit filter sales and potentially weakening later replacement demand from fleets and other customers.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Federal Reserve’s policy rate is the rate it sets to guide borrowing costs; changes can affect Atmus’s customers’ purchases of cyclical-market trucks and equipment, shaping sales of its first-fit and replacement filters to OEMs, fleets and other users.
Expected4.0%Last release4.0%
If it comes in above expectations
A higher-than-expected rate could make borrowing more costly and dampen customers’ truck and equipment purchases, weakening OEM demand for Atmus’s first-fit filters and potentially later replacement sales.
If it comes in below expectations
A lower-than-expected rate could make borrowing cheaper and support customers’ truck and equipment purchases, strengthening OEM demand for Atmus’s first-fit filters and potentially later replacement sales.
Cummins Inc. earningsCMI
Cummins’s report will show whether engine production and aftermarket demand at Atmus’s largest customer continue to drive filter purchases.
Look at production of Cummins engines that use Atmus filters, alongside Cummins’s aftermarket business. Steady engine production and aftermarket demand would support both first-fit and replacement orders; weakness in either would put orders from Atmus’s largest customer at risk, and the supply agreements guarantee no purchase volumes.
Parker-Hannifin Corporation earningsPH
Parker-Hannifin’s report will show demand in its engine-filtration business among equipment makers and replacement-parts channels, a direct competitive read for Atmus.
Focus on Parker-Hannifin’s engine-filtration sales, not its aerospace or broader industrial businesses. Growth would show that filter demand is holding up, but also that Atmus faces an active competitor; a decline could mean weaker market demand or business shifting toward Atmus, which only Atmus’s own results can distinguish.
Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. earningsThis company
Atmus Filtration Technologies earns from replacement filters and products installed in new vehicles, and this report will show whether volume and pricing can keep lifting sales while offsetting logistics and duty costs.
Read sales growth alongside gross margin, the share of sales left after direct production costs. Rising sales with a steady or higher margin would show volume and pricing gains are more than covering logistics, duties and other costs; slower sales or a falling margin would show weaker demand or cost pressure is eating into those gains.
Industrial Production MoM (Oct)
Industrial production and capacity use track factory, mine and utility output and how much capacity is in use; stronger or weaker activity can change Atmus customers’ production and purchases, affecting sales of Fleetguard filters for commercial vehicles and industrial equipment.
Rising output points to stronger potential purchases of Atmus filters for commercial vehicles and industrial equipment; falling output points to weaker potential purchases as customers’ production and equipment use ease.
Donaldson Company, Inc. earningsDCI
Donaldson’s Mobile Solutions business serves truck and off-highway equipment markets, so its report will show filter-market demand and competition relevant to Atmus.
Focus on Donaldson’s Mobile Solutions business, not its industrial or life-sciences sales. Growth would indicate demand in truck and off-highway filter markets, while showing that a direct rival is selling well; a decline could reflect a softer market or lost business at Donaldson, so this report alone cannot show whether Atmus gained share.
