American Bitcoin mines only Bitcoin, which accounts for all its revenue. It supplies computing power to Foundry and Luxor, whose mining pools combine participating miners’ capacity to process Bitcoin transactions and solve blocks. The pools pay American Bitcoin in Bitcoin under formulas based on its contributed computing power, after pool fees; payouts also include a share of transaction fees.
The company owns the mining machines rather than the land, buildings or power infrastructure. Hut 8, its controlling shareholder, exclusively provides hosting and mining operations services at sites in the United States and Canada. American Bitcoin pays service fees and bears the associated operating and electricity costs. Its ability to keep mining therefore depends heavily on Hut 8 and access to power; mining may be curtailed during electricity shortages or high prices, including under Hut 8’s utility agreements.
American Bitcoin also buys Bitcoin to build a strategic reserve, rather than relying on mining alone to accumulate it. Investor capital, including share sales, funds Bitcoin purchases, equipment and operations; potential Bitcoin sales are another source of cash. Mining economics depend on Bitcoin’s price, electricity and equipment costs, and the company’s computing power relative to the wider network. Scheduled reductions in Bitcoin’s block rewards also make profitability harder to sustain.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Beyond Bitcoin prices, network difficulty and Hut 8’s hosting costs, American Bitcoin depends on Bitmain and MicroBT for mining machines and Foundry and Luxor for mining-pool services.
American Bitcoin depends on Hut 8 to house and operate all its miners; Hut 8 also consolidates it as a subsidiary. Watch Hut 8’s hosting and operating charges, including electricity costs passed through in full, because American Bitcoin owns the machines but pays Hut 8 to run them.
MARA Holdings competes with American Bitcoin for Bitcoin mining rewards and economical electricity using industrial-scale fleets. MARA’s move toward owning its energy and mining infrastructure offers a comparison for American Bitcoin’s choice to own miners while paying Hut 8 for facilities and operations.
CleanSpark and American Bitcoin compete for efficient mining machines and low-cost electricity to earn Bitcoin rewards. Watch CleanSpark’s fleet efficiency and uptime at its own facilities: these show how effectively a rival turns power and equipment into reward-earning computing power.
Riot Platforms and American Bitcoin compete for Bitcoin rewards and economical power, with both operating substantial mining fleets in Texas. Riot’s access to low-cost power in the Dallas–Austin corridor is the useful comparison for American Bitcoin’s Hut 8-hosted Texas sites.
Cango and American Bitcoin share a revenue model: they supply computing power to mining pools, which pay them in Bitcoin, and this accounts for nearly all their revenue. Watch Cango’s deployed computing power and Bitcoin mining revenue rather than its continuing automobile-trading business when comparing it with American Bitcoin.
Bitdeer competes with American Bitcoin for Bitcoin rewards by mining for its own account, but also develops and sells its own mining machines. Watch the power efficiency of its SEALMINER rigs as a comparison for American Bitcoin’s fleet, which primarily uses Bitmain and MicroBT machines.
Cipher Digital and American Bitcoin both supply mining-machine computing power to pools in return for Bitcoin rewards. Cipher’s Bitcoin production cost remains the relevant comparison, while its development of high-performance computing facilities for hyperscaler tenants adds a business American Bitcoin’s mining revenue does not capture.
BitFuFu offers an alternative to American Bitcoin’s miner-ownership model: institutions and individuals pay it for computing capacity to earn mining rewards without buying machines, and it identifies American Bitcoin as a competitor. Watch its cloud-mining revenue from major customers, on which its business relies heavily.
Keel Infrastructure Corp.’s legacy Bitcoin mining revenue shares American Bitcoin’s exposure to electricity costs and network rewards, even as Keel develops high-performance computing facilities. That remains the comparison to watch: Keel’s new infrastructure business had no revenue at December 31, 2025, and it expects its first data-center revenue in 2027.
Argo Blockchain plc competes with American Bitcoin for mining equipment and economical electricity, using purpose-built machines to earn Bitcoin rewards and transaction fees. Watch Argo’s balance of owned and third-party facilities and its access to low-cost renewable power when comparing mining operations with American Bitcoin’s exclusively Hut 8-hosted fleet.
Canaan’s mining-machine demand reflects the economics of fleet investment facing American Bitcoin and other miners, rather than a stated supply relationship with American Bitcoin. Watch sales of its industrial AvalonMiner machines, which miners buy to generate Bitcoin-earning computing power.
Riot Platforms, Inc. earningsRIOT
Riot Platforms’ report will show whether its Texas mines turn economical power into Bitcoin rewards, a comparison for American Bitcoin’s Hut 8-hosted Texas sites.
Read Riot’s Bitcoin production alongside power costs. Solid output with controlled costs would suggest low-cost electricity still helps a large fleet compete for rewards, under conditions relevant to American Bitcoin’s Texas mines; power costs eroding returns or weaker output would point to pressure on local mining economics.
American Bitcoin Corp. earningsThis company
American Bitcoin’s report will show whether Bitcoin rewards from its miners are keeping up with the electricity and operating-service costs it pays Hut 8.
Read operational hashrate and Bitcoin mined alongside mining revenue and electricity, hosting and operating costs paid to Hut 8. Rising hashrate and production with stable or lower cost per Bitcoin would show the fleet is turning power into rewards more efficiently; lagging production or rising costs would show network competition or the hosting model is squeezing mining economics.
