Seagate sells hard drives that store data, including high-capacity drives for data centers. Its report helps distinguish actual equipment purchases from customers' announced investment budgets. Recent AI server updates have been encouraging, but financing and power constraints could delay projects, making the conversion of storage demand into shipments, revenue and cash especially useful to check.[1]
Look at cloud-customer purchases, storage capacity shipped, pricing and inventory, and compare profit with operating cash flow. Healthy purchases, controlled inventory and cash collection would support hard-drive and component suppliers; delayed purchases or rising inventory would challenge those stocks. Higher drive prices could help suppliers while raising equipment costs for data-center customers. Watch subsequent orders and customer deployment schedules, rather than extending storage growth to every AI hardware business.[1]
