Company

Company overview

Youxin Technology serves mid-tier brands in Mainland China that rely heavily on offline distribution and need to upgrade their IT systems. It uses its Youxin Cloud platform to build customer relationship management systems and applications that connect distribution, stores, inventory and e-commerce operations.

Customers pay for system development and additional customized features, then pay annual fees for continued access, maintenance and updates based on the number of user accounts. These professional services generate nearly all revenue; the company also collects fees on payments made through its systems. Contracts are generally annual, with payment usually collected in advance.

A small group of customers supplies most revenue, and continued service income depends on customers keeping and renewing their systems. Delivery also relies on third-party cloud and data-center providers in China. Chinese cloud-service licensing and data-protection rules constrain operations; whether additional licenses are required remains uncertain, and failure to obtain required authorizations could restrict or stop services.

Youxin’s results hinge on a few Chinese retail customers’ spending on customized CRM, while its locally named rivals Yongyou, Xuanwu Cloud and Youzan are absent from this list.

  • Salesforce competes with Youxin in software that businesses pay for to manage customer relationships and operations; Youxin explicitly names Salesforce’s Force.com as a rival platform. Watch that platform rather than treating Salesforce’s overall subscription business as a direct guide to Youxin’s mainland Chinese brand customers: Salesforce serves businesses of almost every industry worldwide.

  • Wellchange Holdings Company Limited offers another view of business spending on tailored software: Hong Kong small and medium-sized businesses pay it for customized software and cloud business-management and CRM tools, while Youxin serves mainland Chinese brands. Watch Wellchange’s customized-software revenue, but keep the different customer markets in mind when comparing it with Youxin’s CRM development work.
