Company

Company overview

Xponential Fitness’s brands include Club Pilates, Pure Barre, StretchLab, YogaSix and BFT, offering specialized fitness services from Pilates and yoga to assisted stretching and strength training. Independent franchisees run the studios, where customers pay for memberships, classes or private training. Most studios are in North America, with an international network operated through master franchisees.

Franchisees pay Xponential an initial fee for each studio license, then monthly royalties based on studio sales once business begins. Franchise revenue supplies most of the company’s revenue, and recurring payments account for the majority overall. Xponential supports operators with site selection, studio setup, training, technology and marketing; it also sells equipment to North American franchisees.

The business depends on franchisees retaining paying customers and securing financing and sites to open new studios; sold licenses do not necessarily become operating locations. Xponential and its North American franchisees also rely heavily on ClubReady for payments and studio-management systems. Franchise regulation governs how Xponential sells licenses and manages franchise relationships. An ongoing Maryland inquiry restricts franchise sales there to transactions qualifying for an exemption, while some state laws limit its ability to terminate or change franchise agreements.
