Exicure’s biotechnology business includes the acquired GPCR USA, which completed a Phase 2 clinical trial in January 2026. Its agreement with GPCR Therapeutics requires Exicure to pay milestones tied to clinical progress, marketing approvals and sales, as well as recurring royalties; these are obligations, not income.
Exicure previously earned money by licensing patents to Bluejay Therapeutics for developing cavrotolimod as a potential hepatitis treatment. It later sold its historical biotechnology intellectual property and other assets to Flashpoint Therapeutics. Any further income from those sold assets would mainly come from royalties and license fees, whose receipt and timing are outside Exicure’s control.
There is no current revenue source. Exicure is seeking strategic transactions and expects to fund its cash needs primarily by issuing shares. Its continued operation depends on securing additional capital; without it, the company may need to seek bankruptcy protection or cease operations.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Exicure’s prospects hinge on financing and drug development with GPCR Therapeutics, while royalties remaining from assets sold to Flashpoint Therapeutics are uncertain.
BioLineRX Ltd’s approved motixafortide is a potential rival to Exicure’s investigational burixafor: both help move stem cells into the blood for collection ahead of transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma. BioLineRX receives royalties from Ayrmid’s motixafortide sales outside Asia for uses other than solid tumors, making that revenue a line to watch for uptake of the approved rival.

Exicure has no current revenue source, and this report will show whether its cash use and financing leave it time to pursue strategic alternatives.
Read cash used in operations alongside any new financing. Lower cash use or new funds would leave Exicure more room to pursue strategic alternatives; continued cash use without financing would mean less time and make timely funding critical to continuing operations.

BioLineRX Ltd’s report will show whether royalties from approved motixafortide in specified markets point to uptake of a rival to Exicure’s investigational burixafor.
Watch BioLineRX Ltd’s royalties from Ayrmid’s motixafortide sales, which cover uses other than solid tumors outside Asia. Rising royalties would show stronger commercial uptake of the approved rival in those markets, sharpening the competitive challenge for Exicure’s investigational burixafor; flat or lower royalties would offer less evidence of uptake, but would not establish how burixafor is performing.
