Wix.com Ltd. helps businesses, professionals and creators build and host websites, manage their online presence and sell online. Customers can use its basic tools free, then pay for plans that remove Wix advertising, connect their own domains and enable commerce and payment features. Customers buy directly or through agencies, freelancers and resellers that build sites for others. Wix Studio serves professional website builders, while its acquired Base44 platform creates applications from natural-language descriptions without manual coding.
Most revenue comes from subscriptions for website and application services and domain registrations. Wix also sells additional tools to help customers run their businesses, such as Google Workspace and email marketing. Payments by Wix lets merchants collect payments through Wix Payments or third-party processors; payments and other business services also bring Wix revenue through revenue-sharing arrangements. Commerce-related revenue depends partly on how much merchants sell through Wix.
The business depends on turning free users into paying customers, keeping them subscribed and selling them additional services. Small businesses account for a significant portion of subscriptions, and most premium subscriptions originate from website traffic, mainly unpaid search and direct visits. Payment services depend on processors and acquiring banks, with availability limited by customers’ locations and activities and by payment laws and card-network rules.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Wix’s results hinge on winning and retaining paying website creators against rivals including Squarespace and Webflow, neither of which appears in this list.
GoDaddy competes with Wix for small businesses and the professionals they pay to build websites, selling website-building, hosting and domain services to both groups. Watch GoDaddy’s business with microbusinesses and website professionals, where its customers overlap with Wix’s.
Shopify competes with Wix for merchants paying for online stores, commerce subscriptions and tools to run their businesses. Shopify’s subscription-solutions revenue is worth watching for this rivalry, though it also includes apps, domains and themes alongside platform subscriptions.
HubSpot competes with Wix for businesses buying content, marketing and commerce tools to establish and grow their online presence. Its paid content, marketing and commerce offerings are the relevant overlap with Wix’s website platform and add-on business tools.
Klaviyo, Inc. competes with Wix for online businesses’ email-marketing subscriptions, taking a share of merchants’ spending on customer engagement and repeat sales. Its retail and e-commerce customer base is the part to watch alongside Wix’s paid email-marketing packages.

GoDaddy sells website-building, hosting and domain services to microbusinesses and website professionals, and its report will show how demand is moving among customers who also buy from Wix.
Watch GoDaddy’s business with microbusinesses and website professionals. Strength there would suggest demand for website-building, hosting and domain services is holding up, supporting the market in which Wix seeks new paid subscribers and renewals. Weakness would suggest the same customer groups may be buying or renewing less, raising pressure on Wix’s acquisition and retention.

Wix earns from paid subscriptions and business tools sold on top, and this report will show whether user conversion and customer spending are growing faster than the costs of building the business.
Read bookings and Creative Subscriptions ARR (annualized recurring revenue) alongside revenue from Creative Subscriptions and Business Solutions and the operating margin. Stronger bookings and ARR, growth in both revenue streams, and a steady operating margin would show paid demand and add-on sales translating into revenue without costs consuming much of the growth. Weaker bookings or ARR, or rising revenue with a falling operating margin, would point to pressure on conversion, renewals or add-on sales, or investment costs growing faster than revenue.
