Energous Corporation helps enterprise customers, including large retailers, power low-energy sensors and tags without batteries. Its PowerBridge transmitters send radio-frequency energy to devices fitted with compatible receivers, while supporting software collects device data and manages deployments through cloud systems. Its offerings include the battery-free e-Sense tag and e-Compass cloud platform. Customers pay for equipment used in commercial installations and smaller test deployments; PowerBridge sales and related shipping account for nearly all revenue.
The business remains at an early commercial stage, with limited revenue and most sales coming from a single large retail customer. It depends on customers moving from testing to commercial deployments and expanding those installations. Some desired capabilities are still under development. Radio-frequency power transmission is also subject to FCC rules in the United States and comparable rules elsewhere, including limits on human exposure; higher power, longer distances or different frequencies may require separate approvals.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Energous Corporation’s results hinge on large retailers deploying its battery-free IoT power networks commercially, especially the unnamed Fortune 10 customer that accounted for 85% of its 2025 revenue.

Energous’s report will show whether PowerBridge sales are expanding and whether lower manufacturing costs are leaving more of each sales dollar as gross profit.
Read revenue alongside cost of revenue as a share of sales and customer concentration. Rising revenue with a falling cost share would mean deployments are bringing in more sales while manufacturing scale is improving gross profit. Flat revenue, or costs still consuming most sales, would mean commercialization has not yet produced sturdier sales economics. Then check whether revenue still depends heavily on one major customer: if it does, growth remains vulnerable to that customer's orders; broader customer contributions would make the commercial base more resilient.
