Company

Company overview

Universal Safety Products sells door chimes, ventilation products and electrical devices used in homes and buildings. Retailers buy products for resale to consumers, while its Universal Safety Electric subsidiary supplies electrical distributors and manufactured-housing companies with products that typically need professional installation. These product sales provide the company's revenue. It sold its former smoke and carbon monoxide alarm business to Feit Electric Company and continues importing and marketing its remaining lines.

Sales depend primarily on the U.S. housing market and on importing products at competitive prices. Most products come from China, making import tariffs important to costs and pricing. Eyston supplies most of the company's products.

The company is also developing Universal DeFi, which has generated no revenue. Its planned platform would let asset owners represent real-world or financial assets as digital tokens recorded on a blockchain, charging issuers for onboarding, token issuance and ongoing use. Separately, it has begun limited operations running its own nodes and a validator on the Ault Blockchain, earning AULT tokens that currently have no market value. Both activities depend on that network's adoption and activity, and Universal DeFi relies on outside funding. It holds none of the financial-services licenses or registrations that its activities might require; applicable rules could restrict the assets or jurisdictions its platform can serve.
