Company

Company overview

Token Cat Limited supplies automotive electronic equipment and accessories, mainly communication devices and power modules. It buys and holds products from third-party suppliers, then sells them through its own sales channels. These product sales generate nearly all continuing revenue; advertising contributes a small share. Its former automotive marketplace, marketing and referral businesses have been disposed of.

The resale business is still new and has a small customer base, with two customers accounting for most revenue. It depends on securing products of suitable quality at acceptable prices, keeping inventory from becoming obsolete, and delivering orders on time. Procurement ties up cash, so collecting customer payments and managing inventory and working capital matter to keeping the business running.

Token Cat also plans an MCN online platform to connect users and merchants and facilitate transactions and related services. It has not launched or generated revenue. Launching it would require investment and, depending on its activities, Chinese internet-service and transaction-processing permits.

Red flags

Know what’s buried in TC’s filings before you buy

The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
