Company

Company overview

Taoping sells hardware and software that help businesses store information, manage operations and distribute digital advertising. Its cloud-based technology business brings in most of its revenue, with product sales outweighing software and advertising services. Customers include advertising agencies, healthcare and education businesses, and residential-community managers; they pay for equipment, software solutions, custom development and related support.

For advertising agencies, Taoping connects cloud software with digital displays. Its resource-exchange platform lets agencies find available screen space, negotiate rentals with screen owners, pay online and upload and monitor ads remotely. Taoping also earns revenue by delivering advertising through its network. Through Skyladder Group, acquired in November 2025, it now sells and installs elevators and earns service fees for maintenance, repairs and upgrades. This is a smaller business alongside its technology operations.

Demand depends on customers’ spending on technology and out-of-home advertising. No single customer dominates revenue, but a small group of suppliers provides most inventory purchases. The elevator business needs specialized staff and customers who retain or renew service contracts, and it must maintain Chinese licenses, permits and certifications to operate.
