374Water Inc. develops technology for municipalities, federal agencies and industrial businesses that need to destroy organic waste, including waste contaminated with PFAS. Its AirSCWO process combines water and air to break down organic material into water, minerals and gas, with heat that can be recovered. This process is called supercritical water oxidation.
The company plans to sell AirSCWO equipment, but its business remains at an early commercialization stage and revenue is still small. Services currently provide most revenue, particularly paid demonstrations, waste testing and processing. Its Waste Destruction Services offering lets customers pay for treatment rather than buy equipment. The first operation is at the City of Orlando’s Iron Bridge Water Reclamation Facility; this service model relies on partner treatment sites, including facilities permitted to handle hazardous waste.
AirSCWO has not yet demonstrated full commercial-scale treatment of sludge, biosolids or wastewater, and its economics at larger volumes remain unproven. Continued operations depend on additional financing, while securities rules for smaller companies restrict equity fundraising through its current registration. The technology also relies on a Duke University license that requires royalties on licensed-product sales and sublicensing fees.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
374Water’s results hinge on turning AirSCWO into a commercial business, winning waste-destruction contracts driven by PFAS treatment needs and funding its losses; none of the supplied companies closely reflects these drivers.

374Water’s report will show whether it can turn waste-treatment services, demonstrations and equipment delivery into steadier revenue while controlling the cost of delivery.
Read service and equipment revenue alongside the cost of revenue, and note whether demonstrations or system deliveries are producing revenue. Rising service revenue, positive equipment revenue and costs that do not grow faster would show customer activity becoming more repeatable and manageable to deliver. If revenue still depends on intermittent demonstrations, equipment revenue remains affected by delivery delays, or costs widen the gross deficit, commercialization has yet to take hold.
