Company

Company overview

Revelation Biosciences, Inc. is developing medicines intended to prevent and treat kidney injury and disease by rebalancing inflammation. Its proprietary Gemini formulation uses PHAD® to stimulate the body's innate immune response. Its main programs are GEM-AKI for acute kidney injury and GEM-CKD for chronic kidney disease; both remain in clinical development.

The company has no approved products and has never generated revenue. Investors, rather than product customers, have funded operations through sales of stock and warrants. Future product sales depend on completing development and obtaining regulatory approval. Revelation has no active authorization to conduct U.S. clinical trials for its candidates, although it has agreed with the FDA on a development pathway for GEM-AKI. It also needs additional funding to continue development.

Revelation relies on outside manufacturers and has no manufacturing facilities. Avanti Polar Lipids, Inc. is its sole supplier of PHAD®, with no long-term supply agreement, although it has secured enough material for planned clinical studies. If a medicine is approved, Revelation would need to build sales and distribution capabilities or work with established pharmaceutical or biotechnology partners.
