Permianville Royalty Trust does not drill or operate wells. Its sole asset is a right to share in profits from oil and natural gas properties in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. Its sponsor markets the production or arranges its sale, deducts operating, development and other property costs, and pays the Trust its share of the remaining profits. The Trust distributes substantially all monthly receipts to unitholders after administrative expenses and reserves.
Cash payments depend on oil and gas prices, production volumes and property costs. If costs exceed proceeds, the Trust receives nothing until later profits cover the deficit and interest. Third-party operators run the wells, and the Trust cannot control their production or development decisions. Production is unhedged, and the governing agreement prohibits new hedging arrangements that burden the Trust.
The properties deplete as oil and gas are extracted. The Trust’s governing agreement prevents it from buying other properties or interests to replace that depletion.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Permianville Royalty Trust’s distributions depend on oil and natural gas prices, production volumes, and operating and development costs at its underlying properties, where production buyers include Pioneer Natural Resources USA, Phillips 66 and BPX Operating Company.
Permianville Royalty Trust earningsThis company
Permianville Royalty Trust earns through a net profits interest in oil and gas properties, and this report will show how sales and property costs shape cash available for distribution.
Read net profits interest income, profits from the underlying properties, and distributable income together, alongside oil and gas volumes and realized prices. If stronger gas sales offset weaker oil volumes or prices without property costs absorbing the gain, gas is cushioning the Trust’s cash flow. If property profits or distributable income weaken, depletion, price differentials, or costs are still outweighing that support.
