ProKidney is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on rilparencel (REACT), a treatment intended to preserve kidney function. It takes tissue from a patient’s kidney, uses the patient’s own cells to manufacture the treatment, and injects it back into the kidney. Rilparencel is in Phase 3 trials for advanced chronic kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes; its benefit has not yet been established for commercial approval.
The company has no approved products and earns no revenue from treatment sales. Its current revenue comes from tenants under existing leases in Winston-Salem buildings that also house its manufacturing operations. It has funded development mainly with investor capital, including share offerings, rather than customer payments.
The business depends heavily on rilparencel completing development and receiving regulatory approval, which is required before it can be marketed. ProKidney needs substantial additional funding to continue its work. Any future treatment sales would also depend on insurers and other healthcare payors providing coverage and adequate reimbursement.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
ProKidney's prospects hinge on rilparencel's Phase 3 results, regulatory approval, reliable renal-cell manufacturing and sufficient funding—not on the operating performance of the companies in this list.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
ProKidney earns interest on its cash and investments, so the Fed’s policy rate—which influences rates across the economy—can change that income.

If it comes in above expectations
Higher rates can lift interest earned on ProKidney’s cash and investments, while also making any new borrowing more costly.
If it comes in below expectations
Lower rates can reduce interest earned on ProKidney’s cash and investments, while making any new borrowing cheaper.
ProKidney Corp. earningsThis company
ProKidney has no approved product and earns no product-sales revenue, so this report shows how much it is spending to advance rilparencel through Phase 3 and how much cash it has to keep going.
Read research and development expense alongside cash and short-term investments. Lower spending while clinical work continues would suggest ProKidney is conserving cash without pulling back from its lead candidate; higher spending without clear progress would mean its limited resources could run down faster. Cash shows the available cushion, not whether rilparencel works or when it might win approval or bring in revenue.
