Ondas gives back most of its opening gain in a weak rebound
Ondas edged up 0.33% after Friday’s six-month closing low, but finished near the session low on light volume. A wider retreat in related stocks remains the clearest context for its recent weakness.
Ondas (ONDS) managed only a weak rebound Monday after setting a six-month closing low on Friday, October 16. Shares opened 2.7% above the previous close but finished up just 0.33%, near the bottom of the day’s range. Volume was 28.6 million shares, less than half the usual 61.2 million, showing limited participation in the rebound.
Over the past five trading days, Ondas has fallen 9.1%, versus a median decline of 11% among related companies and a 1.5% drop in the S&P 500. Ondas has held up somewhat better than the related-stock median, but the much smaller broad-market loss shows how concentrated the selling has been in this group.
On the business side, commentary published Friday described the previously announced Regna AI venture with Palantir, which aims to provide sovereign AI for defense and enterprise missions—supporting autonomous operations while allowing customers to retain control of their data. [1] Ondas mainly earns revenue from selling autonomous defense and security equipment to government and enterprise customers. The venture extends that strategy into AI for the kinds of customers its equipment business already serves.
