Nutriband’s main development project is AVERSA Fentanyl, a fentanyl patch intended for chronic pain requiring around-the-clock opioid treatment. Its AVERSA technology places agents with an unpleasant taste and sensory effects on the patch backing, separate from the medicine. These agents are intended to discourage abuse and misuse, rather than enter the skin during normal wear. The patch remains under development, not an approved product.
Current revenue comes from Pocono Pharmaceuticals, which operates as Active Intelligence and manufactures products for health, wellness and over-the-counter pharmaceutical customers. Another subsidiary, 4P Therapeutics, offers drug and medical-device research and development services, but these are not a significant revenue source.
Bringing AVERSA Fentanyl to market depends on substantial development funding, successful clinical studies and FDA approval. Nutriband relies on Kindeva Drug Delivery to develop the manufacturing process, supply patches for clinical testing and prepare manufacturing information for the FDA application. Approval is required even though fentanyl itself is already approved; the FDA must also approve the manufacturing process and facility.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Nutriband’s prospects hinge on financing, developing and securing FDA approval for AVERSA Fentanyl, while its current revenue comes from Pocono’s contract manufacturing and tape sales.
Nutriband Inc. earningsThis company
NutriBand’s report will show whether Pocono’s customer sales and gross profit can support operations while the company funds AVERSA Fentanyl, which still needs FDA approval.
Read sales and gross profit alongside cash used in operations. Steady sales and gross profit with lower cash use would show Pocono’s small service business is providing firmer support and the funding strain of developing AVERSA is more manageable. Weaker sales or gross profit with continued heavy cash use would show the existing business is not easing the burden of developing a product that is not yet approved.
