Company

Company overview

Nano Dimension supplies equipment and materials that customers use to make electronics and mechanical parts. DragonFly builds electronics through additive manufacturing, while Markforged printers make parts from composites, polymers and metals. Essemtec equipment mounts components onto circuit boards, and Global Inkjet Systems supplies hardware and software components for digital printing.

Industrial businesses, research institutions and government organizations buy its offerings directly or through resellers. Product sales account for most revenue, with services providing a smaller share. Alongside machines, the company sells software, consumable materials and replacement parts. It has not achieved profitability and has financed operations primarily by issuing shares, warrants and convertible notes.

Nano Dimension is reviewing its businesses and strategic alternatives and may close or sell product lines; these are possible changes, not completed decisions. Production depends on a limited number of suppliers for some components and materials, and Markforged generally uses outside manufacturers to assemble its printers and manage component sourcing.

Legal commitments also limit its flexibility. U.S. national-security agreements tied to the Desktop and Markforged acquisitions impose supply-assurance, product-integrity, information-protection and cybersecurity requirements. Technology developed with Israel Innovation Authority grants is subject to approval requirements for certain overseas transfers or licensing, as well as moving manufacturing outside Israel; such moves may also require payments or higher royalties.

Nano Dimension’s results hinge on industrial adoption of 3D printing and its acquired Markforged business, which contributed more than the entire revenue increase in 2025.

  • Stratasys Inc competes with Nano Dimension for aerospace, automotive, medical and other manufacturing customers buying industrial 3D printers, materials and software. Its polymer-based printing business is worth watching for signs of how those shared customers are adopting 3D printing, from prototyping to production.
