NIQ Global Intelligence plc helps brands and retailers understand what consumers buy, where they buy it and how pricing and promotions affect sales. It combines store checkout data, consumer-panel information and eCommerce data to measure market share and shopping trends. Clients access these measurements and analysis through software, including its Discover platform.
Its Intelligence business supplies most revenue, chiefly through annual or multi-year subscriptions to data and software. What clients pay varies with the countries, product modules, data volumes and software users covered. NIQ also sells Activation research and customized analysis to guide product launches, pricing and advertising; most of that business comes from existing Intelligence clients.
NIQ serves a broad client base rather than relying on one major customer. Its business depends on clients renewing subscriptions and on retailers, panel participants and other data partners continuing to supply usable shopping information. Privacy and consent rules restrict how it can collect, process and transfer personal data, including the tracking used in some of its services.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
NIQ's results hinge on brands and retailers renewing consumer measurement subscriptions, with Circana and Kantar important competitors missing from this list.
Similarweb competes for the retailer and brand budgets that fund NIQ's eCommerce measurement and consumer shopping insights, selling estimates of website and app activity through its Retail Intelligence products and digital datasets. Watch customer spending on those offerings for signs of competition for NIQ's eCommerce revenue.

NIQ's report will show whether client renewals and added purchases of its core Intelligence subscriptions are still driving growth.
Read Intelligence subscription revenue growth alongside net dollar retention, which tracks annualized revenue from the same client group; above 100% means that group is generating more revenue overall. If subscription revenue keeps growing and retention stays above 100%, renewals, added purchases or price increases are more than offsetting losses and reductions. Slowing growth with retention below 100% would mean revenue from existing clients is shrinking and growth depends more on new clients.

Similarweb's report will show whether brands and retailers are still paying for website and app activity data, a budget that competes with NIQ's eCommerce measurement.
Watch customer spending on Similarweb's Retail Intelligence and digital-data offerings. Rising spending would show that brands and retailers still pay for digital activity measurement, supporting demand for NIQ's eCommerce measurement and consumer shopping insights. Falling spending would signal weaker budgets and more pressure as both companies seek those clients' research dollars.
