Company

Company overview

Defense-equipment manufacturers use Maris-Tech Ltd.’s technology to capture, process and transmit video and audio from drones, other unmanned platforms and observation systems. Its AI-enabled processing can analyze video on the device without continuous high-bandwidth connectivity. Customers pay for ready-to-use products or customized components and complete assemblies integrated into their own equipment. The software is embedded in the products rather than sold separately. The company also serves selected homeland-security and professional markets.

Maris-Tech is shifting toward complete systems, which involve longer and more complex sales cycles than components sold for integration. It designs products internally but outsources component manufacturing and assembly, making deliveries dependent on outside manufacturers and component suppliers, some of which are sole sources. Operations have relied on equity and debt funding as well as product sales.

Israeli Innovation Authority approval is required before manufacturing or know-how developed under its grants can be transferred outside Israel. This limits relocation or sale of that grant-funded technology, although Maris-Tech says its current products do not use the grant-developed intellectual property.

Maris-Tech’s results hinge on defense-platform customers placing development and follow-on procurement orders and turning its longer-cycle complete-system projects into sales, rather than on the supplied candidates’ businesses.
