Company

Company overview

Marti Technologies connects people in Türkiye with car, motorcycle and taxi drivers through the Marti App. Consumers and participating drivers pay for subscription packages, which are its main way of monetizing ride-hailing rather than traditional trip commissions. Subscriptions supply most of its revenue and offer benefits across services, such as priority access and discounted trips. Its same-hour package delivery service remains a pilot in Istanbul, using the ride-hailing driver network.

The company also owns and operates shared e-scooters, e-bikes and e-mopeds that consumers rent by the trip. These rental fees are its other substantial revenue source. Marti handles charging, repairs and repositioning vehicles, so this business depends on keeping its fleet available and in use.

Substantially all revenue comes from Türkiye. The platform needs enough drivers to meet rider demand and depends on distribution through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery. Its electric two-wheeler operations require national and city licenses and face parking, speed and fleet restrictions. Ride-hailing also faces litigation seeking to block app access; an earlier blocking ruling was overturned and returned for retrial.

    Fed Interest Rate Decision

Marti relies on outside financing until its ride-hailing, delivery and shared-vehicle operations can cover their needs, so the Fed’s policy rate—which influences borrowing costs—can affect what it pays to fund operations and growth.
