NFT Limited connects artists and art dealers with art investors through nftoeo.com, operated by its subsidiary Metaverse HK. Investors trade units of ownership in artwork, represented by digital tokens called NFTs, rather than buying and selling whole artworks. Traders fund their accounts before trading; the platform matches orders and registers and settles the ownership units.
Revenue comes entirely from trading commissions charged to non-VIP traders. The company deducts commissions from sale proceeds when transactions are completed. Its income therefore depends on attracting artwork listings and active traders, and on how much they trade—not simply on artwork being listed.
Moving money across borders is another constraint. Silkroad International Bank has warned that foreign-currency shortages in Djibouti may limit currency conversion, transfers abroad and timely cross-border settlement.
