Company

Company overview

Mega Fortune Company Limited helps businesses connect devices and sensors to software and existing company systems, or build new systems around them. Its customers include government departments, large retail and restaurant chains, and theme parks. The company is a Cayman Islands holding company; its Hong Kong subsidiary QBS System Limited generates all its revenue.

Most revenue comes from customized integration projects. QBS System develops, installs and connects the hardware and software under fixed-price contracts. Customers pay part upfront and the rest at agreed milestones, which require acceptance after successful user testing. It also earns ongoing fees for maintaining completed systems and supplying technical personnel to work under customers’ direction. These services provide most of the remaining revenue; hardware trading is a small business.

The business depends heavily on a small group of major customers and on completing their projects. QBS System primarily uses third-party hardware and software rather than its own proprietary technology, and a small group of suppliers accounts for nearly all subcontracting and material costs. Privacy, data-protection and cybersecurity rules govern how it handles customer information and can constrain how it uses that data in its solutions.
