Company

Company overview

Customers hire Megan Holdings Limited to upgrade and maintain aquaculture and agriculture farms, or to source building materials and industrial supplies. Industrial-supplies sales now provide the largest share of revenue, while farm upgrading and maintenance account for most of the rest. Its farm work includes shrimp-farming infrastructure, and it also offers new-farm design and development. All revenue comes from Malaysia.

For farm projects, Megan manages the work and relies substantially on subcontractors for construction, equipment installation and other on-site tasks. Customers pay an all-in project fee covering subcontractor costs and Megan’s mark-up, generally after monthly progress claims are checked on site. For sourced goods, Megan charges supplier and delivery costs plus a mark-up, with payment due under agreed terms after customers confirm receipt.

Two customers provide most of its revenue, so continued orders and timely payment from a small customer base matter greatly. Delivering the work also depends on a concentrated group of suppliers and on subcontractors with which Megan has no long-term service agreements.
