Company

Company overview

Check-Cap Ltd, since renamed MBody AI Ltd., has stopped developing C-Scan, its capsule-based technology for detecting precancerous colorectal polyps. It has not generated significant revenue. Its planned merger with MBody AI would make enterprise robotics and artificial-intelligence services its principal business, but the merger remains subject to closing conditions.

MBody AI helps large enterprises, including hospitality and gaming businesses, deploy and manage robots in their facilities. It buys equipment from outside manufacturers and connects it through its AI Orchestrator platform so customers can manage robots from different suppliers together. Customers historically paid monthly equipment leases that bundled maintenance and support. MBody AI is shifting toward software subscriptions, with additional charges for deployment, integration and support; the facts do not establish subscriptions as its largest revenue source yet.

A small number of enterprise customers supply a significant portion of MBody AI’s revenue. The business depends on customers deploying and renewing its services, outside hardware suppliers and successful integration at customer facilities. Some capabilities arrive in stages, and deployments in regulated industries may require licenses or approvals.

Check-Cap also holds Ghost Kitchen franchise-representation rights in New Jersey. It can earn a share of franchise fees and ongoing royalties by recruiting, training and supporting franchisees. That income depends on franchise sales and franchisees’ operations. Check-Cap needs additional capital to continue operating.

MBody AI’s prospects depend on businesses adopting its robotic-system integration and recurring AI-platform subscriptions, not the medical-imaging market tied to Check-Cap’s discontinued C-Scan development.
