Company

Company overview

Lyntris Inc. helps U.S. and allied military customers turn sensor readings into information they can use to direct operations. It builds sensor and antenna hardware, connects it through embedded software and communications technology, and supplies software that combines and displays the data for commanders. Maritime monitoring is its largest revenue area; air and missile defense and space-based sensing and resilient communications provide the rest.

Government agencies and prime contractors pay Lyntris for work spanning development, testing, production and ongoing support. It can supply individual subsystems or integrated solutions, then earn further revenue from production orders, software updates and upgrades. The company says most revenue comes from programs where it is the sole supplier or the selected single supplier. Most revenue ultimately comes from the U.S. government, and one customer contributes a significant share of recent revenue.

The business depends on government funding and programs continuing through their different stages. Payments depend on contract milestones, customer acceptance and funding; the government can pause or terminate work. International defense sales may require export approvals, and classified work requires cleared personnel and facilities. Lyntris is also ineligible to lead procurements reserved for qualifying small businesses, and its subcontracting role on those programs is limited.

  1. 2:00 PMET

    Fed Interest Rate Decision

For Lyntris, the Federal Reserve’s policy rate—the benchmark that guides borrowing costs—matters because its variable-rate credit facility can reprice, changing interest paid and cash left for operations.
