Company

Company overview

Luda Technology Group supplies stainless-steel and carbon-steel piping components for building industrial facilities, plants and equipment. Customers include manufacturers and traders in chemical, petrochemical, maritime and other manufacturing industries. Its factory in Taian, Shandong makes flanges and fittings, which generate most of its revenue; flanges are the largest product line. Its Hong Kong business also resells supplier-made flanges, fittings, pipes and valves, so the company combines manufacturing with trading.

Most sales go to China, and a small group of large, recurring customers supplies a substantial share of revenue. Customers do not sign long-term agreements, so repeat orders are important but not assured. Steel costs also shape earnings: Luda usually prices project and sales orders at cost plus a markup, but some standing orders limit price changes, preventing it from passing on every increase in steel costs.

Manufacturing and access to different markets depend on keeping the required licenses and product certifications. These include compliance with Europe's mandatory pressure-equipment requirements.

Luda’s results depend chiefly on Chinese industrial orders, keeping its concentrated customer base and steel purchasing costs, making Huadi a related-business indicator rather than a close substitute.

  • Huadi and Luda share exposure to chemical and energy-sector spending: Huadi sells stainless-steel pipes and tubes for applications that also use Luda’s stainless-steel flanges and fittings. Watch Huadi’s steel piping revenue for a signal of demand in these related industrial markets, rather than a direct read on Luda’s orders.
