Company

Company overview

Neutron Holdings operates under the Lime name. Riders find and unlock its vehicles through the Lime Rider App or Uber app for commuting, errands and other short trips. Most revenue comes from Pay-As-You-Go rides, which charge an unlock fee and a per-minute fee. Riders can also prepay for minute bundles through LimePass or buy a LimePrime monthly subscription with ride benefits.

Lime operates across cities in many countries, with the United States and United Kingdom its largest revenue markets and France another important market. Its mutually exclusive Uber partnership is a significant booking and rider-acquisition channel, though it supplies a minority of revenue. Lime receives revenue from these bookings and pays Uber a service fee.

The business depends on keeping safe, working vehicles available where riders need them and using the fleet enough to cover its purchase, maintenance and replacement costs. Logistics providers and contingent workers charge, repair and reposition vehicles. Weather and seasonal travel affect demand. City permits determine where Lime can operate and can limit vehicle numbers and service areas; retaining permits and securing larger fleet allowances depend on compliance and operating performance.
