Company

Company overview

Lianhe Sowell International Group Ltd helps factories and other organizations inspect and recognize objects, faces and activities using cameras, image-processing software and related equipment. Customers include manufacturers, technology companies and educational institutions in China and abroad. They pay for equipment and solutions configured for their needs, including visual inspection, face recognition and building or transportation systems.

The company buys components, hires outside manufacturers to assemble its products and checks the finished equipment. After delivery, it installs, adjusts and tests the products for the customer. It earns sales revenue through individual purchase orders rather than long-term framework agreements with most repeat customers.

A group of major customers supplies most of its revenue, with one customer contributing a substantial share. Continued sales therefore depend on securing new orders, including from repeat buyers. Delivery also depends on a limited supplier base without binding long-term supply commitments. Substantially all operations are in China; the listed holding company depends on payments from subsidiaries, whose mainland dividends are limited to accumulated profits and subject to cross-border currency-transfer rules.
