Company

Company overview

Julong Holding Limited provides systems such as security, fire protection and parking management for public utilities, commercial properties and large residential properties in China. Many customers are state-owned public entities, and contracts are typically government contracts. Engineering work generates the vast majority of revenue; maintaining and operating systems contributes a much smaller share, including work on systems installed by others.

Julong generally wins projects through tenders, quoting estimated costs plus a markup. Customers pay a fixed contract price, which may change if the scope or conditions change. The business relies heavily on a small group of customers, with the largest customer alone supplying most revenue. Continued work depends on major customers inviting Julong to bid and awarding new contracts.

Delivery depends on third-party subcontractors and suppliers. Julong may spend money before customers pay, and some engineering contracts require quality-guarantee deposits, making available cash important to taking on work. It must also maintain Chinese construction, engineering-design and safety qualifications and permits to perform the relevant projects.
