Ingredion supplies manufacturers with ingredients used to make food, drinks and industrial products. Food manufacturers provide most of its revenue, with beverage makers and brewers also important buyers. Starches are its largest product line by sales, followed by sweeteners; it also sells processing co-products for animal nutrition. Revenue is spread across customers rather than concentrated in one major buyer.
Its Texture & Healthful Solutions business develops ingredients and customized formulations that help customers control food texture and add healthful attributes. Alongside this global business, its operations in Latin America and the U.S. and Canada process corn into starches, sweeteners and co-products mainly for nearby food and industrial customers.
Corn is its principal raw material, so the relationship between ingredient selling prices and corn costs matters to earnings. Some customer contracts fix selling prices, leaving Ingredion exposed to changes in input costs during the contract. Others adjust prices for raw-material costs, passing that exposure to customers. Prices of substitutes such as cane and beet sugar also influence what Ingredion can charge.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Ingredion’s results hinge on corn costs and food-ingredient demand; also watch Tate & Lyle, Cargill and Roquette, important competitors absent from this list.
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) competes with Ingredion to sell food makers ingredients that improve texture and add healthful attributes; both also process crops for food and animal-nutrition customers. Watch ADM’s food-ingredient business for signs of competition in the markets Ingredion serves.
Ambev’s beer production connects directly to Ingredion’s Latin American ingredient sales: the brewer names Ingredion among its most relevant Brazilian suppliers of cereals used without malting. Watch Ambev’s Brazilian brewing production for clues to ingredient demand; brewing accounted for 17% of Ingredion’s Latin American segment net sales in 2025.
Coca-Cola FEMSA buys high-fructose corn syrup from Ingredion México to make beverages sold to retailers and consumers, tying its Mexican operations to Ingredion’s sweetener sales. Watch its Mexican beverage production and syrup purchases for clues to demand for a product category that made up 34% of Ingredion’s net sales in 2025.
Coca-Cola FEMSA, S.A.B DE C.V earningsKOF
Coca-Cola FEMSA's Mexican beverage business offers a clue to demand for the high-fructose corn syrup it buys from Ingredion México; sweeteners made up 34% of Ingredion's 2025 net sales.
Watch Coca-Cola FEMSA's Mexican beverage production and sales volumes; they can signal syrup demand, but do not equal disclosed purchase volumes. If both hold or rise, this customer channel is supporting demand for Ingredion's sweeteners. If they weaken, the signal weakens too, but that alone does not show that all Ingredion sweetener sales are falling.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
For Ingredion, the Fed’s decision on short-term interest rates matters because higher rates can raise interest on its floating-rate revolving credit facility and the cost of refinancing maturing notes, leaving less cash for operations and investment.

If it comes in above expectations
If rates are higher than expected, interest on Ingredion’s floating-rate credit facility and the cost of refinancing its maturing notes may rise, leaving less cash to fund operations and facility upgrades.
If it comes in below expectations
If rates are lower than expected, interest on Ingredion’s floating-rate credit facility and the cost of refinancing its maturing notes may fall, leaving more cash available for operations and facility upgrades.
AMBEV S.A. earningsABEV
Ambev's Brazilian brewing business offers a clue to demand for the unmalted cereal ingredients it sources from Ingredion; brewing accounted for 17% of Ingredion's Latin American segment sales in 2025.
Watch Ambev's Brazilian beer production and sales volumes. They show brewing activity, but do not establish how much it buys from Ingredion. If both hold or rise, this brewer's activity supports demand for Ingredion's related ingredients; if they fall, the signal weakens, but it does not represent demand across Ingredion's entire Latin American segment.
Archer Daniels Midland Company earningsADM
ADM's food-ingredient business competes with Ingredion's texture and healthful ingredients in some markets, and its report will show how the rival's sales and profits are faring.
Look at volumes and margins in ADM's food-ingredient business. If both strengthen, the competitor is selling successfully in shared markets, but that alone does not show it is taking share from Ingredion. If both weaken, demand may be softening or ADM may be under pressure. Without comparable figures for the same products, the report can indicate shared-market conditions, not prove a change in Ingredion's market share.
Ingredion Incorporated earningsThis company
Ingredion sells starches, sweeteners and specialty ingredients to food, beverage and industrial customers, and this report will show whether sales volumes and margins after raw-material costs support segment profits.
Read sales volumes and price mix alongside gross margin, then check operating income by segment. If volumes hold or rise and margins and segment profit remain steady, customer demand and pricing are keeping pace with raw-material costs. If volumes fall as margins and segment profit contract, demand or cost recovery is lagging. Together, these figures show whether Ingredion is turning ingredient sales into profit.
