Company overview

Fusion Fuel Green PLC is an Irish holding company whose LPG business accounts for almost all revenue. Through majority-owned QIND and its operating subsidiary Al Shola Gas, it serves property developers, building managers, restaurants and other customers in the UAE, especially Dubai. Al Shola Gas installs central gas systems for buildings, then supplies gas and maintains the equipment. Customers pay for installation, ongoing metered consumption and maintenance; it also sells LPG in cylinders and bulk deliveries.

The business depends on reliable gas supplies and transport. Al Shola Gas sources bulk LPG from Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, and regional supply chains and functioning UAE ports are important to procurement. Earnings depend partly on whether it can pass higher gas costs on to customers. Safety and environmental rules govern gas storage, handling and transport; noncompliance can restrict operations.

The company has stopped manufacturing its former HEVO hydrogen equipment following Fusion Fuel Portugal’s insolvency. Bright Hydrogen Solutions now provides hydrogen-project engineering and advice, while the Biosteam Energy joint venture is developing biomass-powered steam projects, starting with Fairfield Dairy in South Africa. Biosteam plans to earn recurring payments for supplying steam. These alternative-energy activities had generated little revenue by the end of 2025.

The parent relies on funds from subsidiaries to cover its overhead, but ongoing businesses do not yet generate enough free cash flow to cover those costs. It also needs additional outside capital to maintain operations.

Fusion Fuel’s results now depend overwhelmingly on UAE LPG distribution and gas-system engineering through Al Shola Gas, which sources bulk LPG from Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, rather than on its discontinued electrolyzer business.
