Company

Company overview

HomesToLife Ltd supplies leather and fabric sofas, armchairs and other upholstered furniture to retailers and distributors that place purchase orders. It develops products, buys finished furniture from outside manufacturers and coordinates delivery rather than manufacturing the furniture itself. Export wholesale sales generate the vast majority of revenue, with Europe its largest sales market. Customers buy branded furniture, including HTL, or white-label products sold under their own names.

Two smaller businesses complement furniture exports. Its leather trading operation buys raw hides and sells them mainly to related tanneries that turn them into upholstery leather. It also sells furniture directly to consumers in Singapore and South Korea, using HomesToLife, Domicil and Fabbrica stores and other retail channels.

The business relies heavily on HTL Furniture and other related HTL Group suppliers for finished furniture and manufacturing services. Fulfilling customer orders depends on those suppliers maintaining production, quality and timely delivery. Product procurement and freight are major costs, and HomesToLife may not be able to pass all increases on to customers.

HomesToLife Ltd relies mainly on wholesale upholstered-furniture demand, especially in Europe; its closer export rivals Jason Furniture, Man Wah Holdings and Natuzzi Group are worth watching but absent from this list.

  • The Lovesac Company and HomesToLife Ltd both depend on consumers buying new seating: Lovesac sells mainly modular sofas, while HomesToLife exports upholstered furniture to retailers and distributors. Watch sales of Lovesac’s customizable Sactionals sofas for a read on that shared demand.

  • Bobs Discount Furniture, Inc.’s sales to U.S. consumers offer a downstream demand comparison for HomesToLife Ltd, which exports competitively priced upholstered furniture to wholesale buyers. Watch Bob’s upholstered living-room furniture and recliners for signs of spending on affordable seating.

  • Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc.’s furniture sales to households offer a downstream indicator of the demand supporting HomesToLife Ltd’s wholesale sofa exports. Havertys sells residential furniture, including custom upholstery; that category is the part of its sales to watch for seating demand.
