Company

Company overview

Cellyan Biotechnology Co., Ltd operates through Hong Kong subsidiaries, helping online merchants get imported non-prescription medicines to Mainland Chinese consumers. Its Joint Cross Border subsidiary handles product documentation, Hong Kong storage and packaging, customs coordination and delivery arrangements. Merchants and e-commerce logistics partners pay for these services, which generate most of the company’s revenue. Some customs clearance and Mainland delivery work goes to outside providers.

The company also buys overseas medicines through V-Alliance and resells them to online merchants and pharmaceutical distributors. These product sales provide much of the remaining revenue. Products must be enlisted with Hong Kong’s Department of Health before procurement.

The business depends on demand for imported medicines sold through Chinese e-commerce platforms and on continued orders from a concentrated group of customers. CaiNiao is a significant customer, paying for warehousing and supply-chain services for products sold on Alibaba Group platforms and other platforms using its logistics network. Purchases also rely heavily on a small group of suppliers. Cellyan must maintain the licenses and permits needed for medicine storage, imports, exports and customs clearance.

Cellyan’s results hinge chiefly on Chinese demand for imported OTC medicines, merchant order volumes and competitive pricing, with Cainiao a significant customer to watch.

  • Alibaba connects Cellyan to Chinese cross-border shopping demand: its affiliated logistics company Cainiao pays Cellyan to store and handle OTC medicines, while Taobao and Tmall merchants pay Alibaba for marketing and software services. Watch Cainiao’s warehousing and supply-chain business with Cellyan: it accounted for 10.50% of Cellyan’s total revenue in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026.
