Hudson Technologies supplies refrigerants used in commercial air conditioning, industrial processing and refrigeration systems. Contractors, distributors and equipment manufacturers, along with commercial, industrial and government customers, buy its products and services. Refrigerant sales generate the large majority of revenue: Hudson purchases new refrigerants for resale and buys used or contaminated refrigerants, restores them to industry purity standards, and sells them for reuse under its EMERALD Refrigerants™ brand. It also charges for refrigerant management, including customer-site RefrigerantSide® services that recover refrigerant and remove moisture, oil and other contaminants from systems.
Hudson also supplies industrial gases and provides gas, cylinder and logistics services to the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), a significant customer. The DLA rescinded a replacement contract award after a competitor challenged it. The existing contract was scheduled to run through July 2026, and follow-on work remains uncertain while the award review and protest process are pending.
The business depends on obtaining enough new and used refrigerant at workable prices. Regulations that phase down production of new refrigerants constrain supply, while rules governing refrigerant use and disposal help sustain demand for reclamation. Hudson must also comply with environmental, workplace-safety and transport requirements. Demand and selling prices are seasonal and sensitive to spring and summer weather.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Hudson’s results hinge chiefly on refrigerant prices, cooling-season demand and supply restrictions that support reclamation, while its Defense Logistics Agency contract is another important revenue dependency.
Lennox International relies exclusively on Hudson for certified reclaimed refrigerants used to service its residential heating and cooling systems, giving Hudson a customer outlet for refrigerants it restores for reuse. Watch Lennox’s residential aftermarket needs: this supply agreement supports its compliance with California’s reclaimed-refrigerant requirements.

Hudson Technologies' report will show whether higher refrigerant sales volume can offset lower selling prices and higher freight costs to protect its gross profit.
Read refrigerant sales volume alongside gross margin. Higher volume with a steady margin would show that selling more is offsetting pressure from prices and freight, leaving profit as inventory turns into sales. Higher volume with a falling margin would show that lower prices or freight costs are eating into the added revenue, so selling more inventory is not necessarily bringing more profit.

Lennox International's report will show whether residential service demand is supporting the outlet it provides for Hudson Technologies' reclaimed refrigerants.
Read Lennox International's residential aftermarket sales alongside its residential equipment sales. Steady aftermarket sales would point to continued repair demand and a firmer outlet for Hudson Technologies' reclaimed refrigerants; falling aftermarket sales would weaken that demand signal even if equipment sales hold up. Lennox relies on Hudson for certified reclaimed refrigerants used to service residential systems, a supply relationship that also supports Lennox's compliance with California requirements.
