Gildan Activewear supplies basic garments that other businesses decorate or sell. Its main business is selling blank activewear under brands such as Gildan and Comfort Colors to wholesale distributors. Those distributors supply screenprinters and other decorators, who add designs for end customers. Activewear brings in most of the revenue, and the United States is by far its largest market.
Gildan also sells branded underwear, socks and intimates through large retailers and directly to consumers, and makes apparel for customers’ own brands. Its acquisition of HanesBrands added brands including Hanes and Maidenform. Gildan makes the vast majority of the products it sells in its own factories, handling production from yarn spinning through fabric-making and sewing, with outside suppliers supplementing production.
Sales depend heavily on a small group of large customers, with one wholesale distributor supplying a substantial share of revenue. Customer contracts do not require minimum purchases, so Gildan plans production around projected orders and distributor restocking needs. Its cross-border manufacturing model also relies on trade preferences: garments must meet rules of origin to qualify for duty-free access, and changes in those preferences or tariffs can alter its costs.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Gildan’s results hinge chiefly on demand for blank apparel and concentrated distributor orders; key rivals to watch outside this list are Bella + Canvas, Next Level Apparel and Fruit of the Loom.
Superior Group of Companies and Gildan share exposure to business spending on branded merchandise: Superior sells customized promotional products and uniforms to businesses, while Gildan sells blank garments to distributors serving printers and decorators. Superior’s Branded Products sales offer a read on spending by customers such as retail chains and food-service businesses that matters to Gildan’s blank-apparel demand.
Victoria’s Secret competes for consumers’ bra, panty and other intimates spending with Gildan’s Innerwear portfolio, expanded by the HanesBrands acquisition. Victoria’s Secret sells through stores and digital channels, while Gildan sells innerwear through large retailers and directly to consumers; watch Victoria’s Secret’s intimates sales for a view of demand in this overlapping category.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
The Fed’s rate decision signals the direction of borrowing costs across the economy, which can change what Gildan pays on debt that reprices and on new borrowing for its apparel business.

Gildan Activewear Inc. earningsThis company
Gildan sells blank apparel through wholesale distributors and makes much of it in its own integrated facilities, so this report will show whether core demand and production margins are holding together.
Read Activewear sales alongside gross margin. Rising sales with a steady or higher margin would show distributor and printer orders are supporting the cost of Gildan’s own production; weaker sales or a falling margin would indicate that demand, selling prices, or input and production costs are squeezing its scale advantage.
Superior Group of Companies, Inc. earningsSGC
Superior Group of Companies’ report will show whether businesses are spending on customized promotional products and uniforms, a demand signal for printers and decorators that buy Gildan’s blank apparel.
Watch Superior Group of Companies’ Branded Products sales. Stronger sales would suggest businesses are sustaining orders for customized merchandise and uniforms, which can support printers’ and decorators’ purchases of Gildan blanks; weaker sales would point to tighter business spending and a cooler demand channel for Gildan.
Retail Sales MoM (Oct)
Retail sales track how much consumers spend at retailers; stronger spending can support orders for Gildan’s underwear, hosiery and other basics sold through large retailers, while weaker spending can restrain them.
Stronger retail sales point to firmer consumer spending, which may support large retailers’ orders for Gildan’s innerwear and hosiery; weaker sales point to less support and potentially more restrained orders, depending on retailers’ inventory needs.
Victorias Secret & Co. earningsVSXY
Victoria’s Secret’s report will show whether consumers are spending on bras, panties, and other intimates, a category it shares with Gildan’s expanded Innerwear business.
Watch Victoria’s Secret’s intimates sales. Stronger sales would suggest consumers still want the category, supporting the demand backdrop for Gildan’s underwear and intimates sold through retailers and direct channels; weaker sales would point to softer category spending that could limit Gildan’s opportunity in the overlap.
