Company

Company overview

Future FinTech Group’s largest business is an online store selling non-alcoholic and dairy beverages to consumers through an e-commerce platform. Margins on individual items are thin, so this business depends on selling large volumes.

It also earns commissions and consulting fees from financial services. FTFT International Securities and Futures Limited provides brokerage services for Hong Kong and U.S. equities, alongside underwriting and advisory services. U.S. equity trading relies on a U.S. brokerage partner, while its Hong Kong securities activities operate under local licenses. Separately, Future FinTech helps private companies prepare for possible public listings. This consulting business is early-stage, with few clients; clients must retain licensed financial institutions for offerings, and the company cannot itself underwrite, broker or place securities where it lacks authorization.

Its formerly important Chinese commodity financing and trading business now contributes very little revenue after being sharply reduced as coal prices and demand weakened. It helps industrial customers obtain working capital through commodity transactions, earning money from goods sales or agency fees. Future FinTech has also exited Hong Kong asset management after selling its remaining stake in NTAM.

Future FinTech’s current results hinge on high-volume, thin-margin online beverage sales and commission-based brokerage and consulting services, while commodity financing contributes little.
